Quality Microfiber Towels

I always like to use a high quality microfiber towel for drying, quick detailer wipe down and waxing.

I use the Costco towels. If you have a membership, I'd recommend for the price and quality. It's 36 for about 20 or even 14.99 if on sale. Just remove the tag and shake/flap out before use, to remove the fuzz and first lint falloff. The picture on the package also varies from time to time FYI.

I like the cheap ones for the inside of the wheels, wheel wells, underside, exhaust, muffler, suspension bits, engine area, etc…

However, it pays to spend the extra money on a high end quality microfiber towels for the paint.

All microfiber towels are not created equal. ?

I use the nicer ones from Ethos, in a pinch the ones from Adam's. The Costco ones are fine for the engine bay/wheel barrels.

A large (28x36) microfiber towel made for drying that is amazing… some may find it expensive up front but you can dry the entire car off with this single towel. Very soft and absorbent.

Drying towels are a whole different beast. I only use Ethos drying towels. $25, so just order like 5 of them. Nice and cheap, dry the car amazingly well. No swirls.

Tossing another option into the ring, can't say I'd recommend buying these unless you're flush with cash but these towels are on another level. The shop I got my PPF installed with gave me a few. I use some Meguiar's ones to do the wash, then blow dry the car and do a finish with these.

The best money spent hands down for drying is this handy compact but extremely powerful filtered warm air blower. Flexible rubber tip.

Eliminating the constant water drips after washing. Great for the cracks, crevices, mirrors, wheels, interior, etc…

I personally use a pet dryer, I have one of those pocket air 'blasters' that I use when cleaning and dusting my computers, and the pet dryer is in it's own league. $100 for a 4hp motor that makes drying the car an absolute breeze. Takes maybe 5 minutes at most to dry the car 90% of the way, and a quick towel off to get the leftovers. I learned the hard way in the past that using a shopvac on the blow section doesn't work if you actually use said shopvac to succ.

Only complaints I have is that this unit moves *so much air* that it actually creates significant noise when you start hitting the door jambs and vents that I had to stop to grab some ear plugs. Also, the power cord is quite short, and the hose itself is also pretty short, so you'll need a pretty long outdoor rated extension cord while you reposition the unit repeatedly.
