Hey guys, this is my first post. I’ve owned a Supra for a few months, did the usual downpipe tune combo.

looking into suspension and brake mods so my first mod that isn’t power related is this kit from racingbrake to get some nice weight reduction (11lbs front axle and 3lbs rear axle) plus better cooling brakes.

kit is very pricy but I was lucky enough to order on Black Friday for 10% off.

My last car was a turbo IS300 and these guys make a lot of great parts for it so I trust they have some quality stuff here. I’m in no way affiliated with them just hyped for a brake upgrade that doesn’t involve crazy expensive calipers as we already have some sweet Brembos on the front.

It was shipped today and I’m super hyped to install it and post some pics when it is completed. Not going to be testing it for a while as it’s winter here in NY now.

looking forward to getting some coils as well. The KW V3 DDC coils have my attention as they retain the active modules.

Got the kit in today. Rotors will need a good cleaning before they go on but they look good enough.

Is the black finish expected to wear off?

Yes it’s just a coating the area with pad contact it will wear off when bedding pads. I’m assuming the idea of it is to keep the area with out pad contact coated to avoid rust.
The hat is a seperate finish that will remain on there.

Well they are on gonna wait for a decent take to take it out and bed the pads the right way. Long day getting BMW brake dust off of EVERYTHING. (Still have to go over the wheels though!)

same as oem rotors really. The hats and rotors came pretorqued together. Proper brake in is a must for the pads the manufacturer states on instructions.

Have you done any track days with them?
not yet, and I’ve only run the street pads so far no track pads. Been struggling to find enough time to even throw the car on the lift and get the rest of the parts on. Lol
