I have the older Escort 360. It gets the job done and it’s good with filtering unnecessary signals. If you want a radar solely for its detection capabilities get a Valentine One. Uniden radars are also good if you’re on a budget.

I've been looking at the new Valentine One myself. How reliable are these things?

I have the Escort Passport 9500ix. I have had it since 2012 and its been working for me ever since. Only got 1 ticket by a cop assuming i was speeding and pulled me over.
My brother has a valentine 1 and has direction arrows to show where the cop is at, but the display is sort of dull/not bright.
My escort is also able to say where red traffic lights are at, able to save faulty bands picked up from other cars and store fronts.

A decade ago (maybe more) I use to actively use my old Beltronics STI ages ago and saved me a lot of times (great detector), 2 years later the motherboard fried for whatever reason so I got V1 (gen 1) and it was a fine detector.

But then I was being hit with nothing but Lasers (or just use instant on radar). I just stopped using it as it was useless during my usual routes. Years later I don't really miss it, but every now and then I wouldn't mind to have a cheaper radar just to know what's ahead.

I may get the Escort X80 for basic detecting (don't care for gps or red camera alerts) as it's on sale for $260 at Best Buy.

Escort Redline 360c - The range is fantastic. I appreciate the GPS feature if for only learning/suppressing repeated false alerts. It's stupid expensive though, and there are cheaper options that are probably pretty good.

I installed it using a mount from BlendMount with a mirror tap cable for a clean look.

Vortex Radar has a website and a YouTube channel where he does pretty exhaustive reviews of radar and laser equipment. Really worth checking out if you're shopping around for a good one.

I run the uniden r7 and ALP laser jammers. I’ve also got waze running on my center screen with local law enforcement radio playing for Mexico nights.

I do recommend the uniden r7. Picks up every officer in my town that runs with radar constant on up to 2 miles away. Even will detect leo that use instant on since the 360 range is so far. The filtering is also very accurate and automatic
