I replaced my brakes with a front and rear kit from R1. here is a pic of one of the rear brakes, and they retain the factory e-brake system. 6 piston calipers front and rear!!

How did you bleed the brakes after upgrading all the hardware? From what I gather a BMW/Toyota dealer needs to be involved?

no..... Just bled the brakes as you would any other car.... no issues whatsoever!

Ahh okay, I was just confused by @JackieD86's video update where they needed to have toyota bleed it as the ABS pump sucked in air during a caliper change. Normal bleed seems straightforward :)

SUPRATOY,

thanks for sharing your brake setup.

I contacted R1 Concepts to get availability/pricing and options for the same front and rear setup you installed and i got a negative reply from one of the staff. I also sent him the URL to this post.

I was wondering if the person who replied know what they were saying.

Where the kits custom made for you as a one-off deal ?

Do you have any idea if Rq Concepts will be offering them to the public ?

On another note, did you by any chance weigh the calipers and rotors ?

Thanks in advance.

Why do all the big name BBK brands remove the ability to re-install the parking brake? Is it for more weight savings and less complexity?

Do you simply just disconnect the parking brake system in total?

Do owners have constant notifications about not having it installed?
