Wait a second, they're trying to buy up all the DME's so they can price gouge? How are they still allowed in any community forum or group not admined by them??
Lol did you just figure out they were doing this? They buy up DMEs as low as possible and flip them for $1800. Marshall and Visconti both called me a retard for pricing my ECUs below what they were offering after I refused to sell to them.

I know other vendors in the space that complained early on when Femto just got spun up that John and his team were being ruthless with ECUs buying them up like crazy

The ecutek license is not expensive.... so I'm not sure what you're on about there.

But yes, you can absolve make the same calibration tables on all platforms (though you don't get RaceROM or RaceROM-like features on all platforms).

Not everyone really cares about money the same way, and the best tuning, support, trackside support, etc. all comes from the platform that's used the most. It's that simple. Ecutek and ProTuner is powerful for tuners, which is why they recommend it. If I'm sitting in the pits at TX2K and need to make a minor tweak or adjustment, I want someone who can do it as fast as possible. You're likely not going to get that, on our cars, without Ecutek.

Yes, my use case is different that some. Yes, not everyone is racing at TX2K, MITM, or Atco, or FL2K. But some of us do, and we use what's best for that. MHD/BM3/mgFlasher, whatever all have a place. So does Ecutek.

I'd never spend money on a certain video card for a computer, they all do the same thing- gamers disagree.

I'd never spend money on a carbon fiber bicycle frame, a bike is a bike- bikers disagree.

It's just.. all -very- relative, especially when it comes to cars. There are a million different cases and for some, Ecutek is -the- choice, and money doesn't really matter all that much in that case (not that whatever couple hundred bucks an ecutek license costs compared to the rest of the 50k build). Just like a gamer buys some expensive video card.

The point is, don't shit on shit just because it's not what you use. Not everyone that buys something is a sucker because it's not for you. Don't say, 'all these things are exactly the same' when they're not quite.
Love your post here @zrk, spot on man. Coming from the cycling world outside of my first hobby (cars), i can tell you if you get into cycling, you will spend money on carbon and your ass and legs will thank you for it. :) It's a great analogy, people ask the same thing...how do you spend $10k on a bike? If you're going to get serious about it and ride 5,000 miles a year, semi-competitively, it's a sunk cost. I ride with guys that have well over $25k in bikes (no this guy though, i have to share budget with cars). Sorry, this is off topic but i love bikes too.

PS - Visconti still won't get my $. ?

This is why doing BM3 or MHD andnnot dealing with this bs is the best! Vendors like these, just the tone how they address customers, makes me weary. I’d be fuming if I were OP.

I wouldn't want to be within a mile of those guys when karma catches up with them. Jesus. Whoever gives them money after knowing this stuff should be ashamed of themselves.

Unfortunately, if you want to run integrated canbus sequential port injection, you likely have limited options and might be stuck giving them $. Could be wrong, i'm a long way off from needing to research this but yeah, they do have some innovative products.

Pretty sure they also make the go-to LPFP. Heavily integrated into the B58 platform.

I am living with a JB4 right now on principle, but I guess everyone has different priorities. Maybe if a 2020 DME falls into my lap I will send it over to GTP.

A one-minute google search turned up alternatives from "Performance Fueling solutions " for the lpfp and port injection. I'm sure there are others out there as well.

@Twisted Tuning has one, Titan has one, Radium has one. There are several options.

EXACTLY WHAT I DID! Contacted them, talked with Mike from the Sales department at PFS, ordered a brand new pump from my toyota dealer, shipped and now waiting for them to upgrade the LPFP. awesome vibes, and easy process! Being patient and doing lots of research is key! Also bought an EOS IM thanks to zrk recommendation and the wait is 4/5 weeks which is fine by me. Great vibes and excellent customer service as well. I haven't had the chance to purchase from the people mentioned in the OP but i think everyone has a different perspective, expectations and process of working their project. If you're aligned with your tuner/mech team everything will be smooth, if not then we can see the disturbances we're seeing. At the end of the day it's a business and everyone runs it as they think benefits the most.
All about P&L's for some, Customer Experience for others. ?‍♂?‍♂?‍♂

There’s several other companies who offer it but due to them controlling Information it’s hard to have them get their names out there.

LOL, I got banned from a FB group for answering someone's question about JB4 not needing an unlock to work, and that Fuel-It is better with JB4 vs Viscunti. Having to make another account and DM people asking these questions now... Jesus. At least it'll be more effective to dissuade them personally.

Lies. Mr. “Do I know you?” stated he doesn’t moderate the FB group and we should take his word for it. Because his word means a lot.

Don’t mind that he keeps deleting posts and banning people. Nothing to see here, move along…
