I use the ProClip, it attaches around the vent. I had bad luck with the 'whatever is first on amazon' ones that squeeze the vent.Any good phone attachments that go on vents, don’t want to use suction cup or messy sticky attachments.
Yeah- the R&D was free. It's just the plastic that's $80. Get a cheap Chinese amazon one if you're a budget-conscious person.Just checked out proclip, they sell base that clips onto dash for $40 , plus u would need the actual holder for your specific phone for another $40!!
$80 for two pieces of plastic!!
I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s absolutely the best phone holder I’ve ever owned. Have one in the Supra and another in the 4Runner. Worth every cent.I’m not budget concerned, but when I was told that to attach the phone holder to the base with screws! I declined purchase
So much so that I popped it out and unplugged it.You all saying you don’t like to nuke your cell phone in the wireless charging tray?
I tried this one, and it just kept falling. This is my favorite one which I selected… small not bulky, discrete, stable mount, clean design, doesn’t block the navigation or other controls, close to the drivers view, etc.
I also opted for a black blended short 12” cord for charging while on the magnetic vent mount.
This is the same kind I have for the supra and my work tractor and since I’m not off-roading neither I don’t really worry about stability which it’s pretty good anywaysThis is my favorite one which I selected… small not bulky, discrete, stable mount, clean design, doesn’t block the navigation or other controls, close to the drivers view, etc.

~ That’s unusual for mine has never fallen off… super tight and stable. I recommend the large scosche magnetic plate for your phone to adhere properly to the vent mount.I tried this one, and it just kept falling.
