Any fixes or tips? I feel like the sound system is really low for a small car. Is it just me?

Make sure whatever app you're using has loudness normalization off.

If you are using the wireless connection, I've found it to always be more quiet than a direct or wired and I tested it. Listed to SXM on my phone thru carplay and then switched to the in dash and the speakers almost blew out. So yes, best advice I can give is do the sub mod and watch it when switching from source to source at higher volumes!

If OP is talking about low volume when playing music through iTunes/Amazon Music/etc. through CarPlay compared to other audio sources, yes, it is a known issue. No real fix at present other than turning up the volume.
