At this point I think I’m going to go down the path of refunds. I am all about waiting for parts (I waited 6 months for other Supra parts from Japan) but the lack of communication is unacceptable. I will let you know if that gets him to respond.

thats the only frustrating part for me as well. They communicated 8-12 week lead times but once you hit that mark you should be available for updates. The lack of communication sucks in the event you do need to cancel the order.
I’m really interested in the exhaust as well but if it’s going to be 16 weeks I’d rather just got with another brand that’ ships
The next day. Tons of nice exhausts for this car

What’s the appeal of SP1R over a Made Motorsports exhaust? Seems like they’re nearly identical except for Made has a resonator and was at my door in 2 weeks.

made is the diameter of the downpipe restriction (3.15 inch) for the entire length. if you get this, you are ultimately stuck with an exhaust that is possibly worse than stock (dual 2.75 inch).

sp1r is 3.5 inch, so you can chop off the connections on both sides and use a band clamp or extend the downpipe to have a full 3.5 turbo back, which is decently close to stock cross sectional area

Just like any exhaust it's a matter of preference. Both in look and sound. I'm 40 so I grew up during the MKIV days, so the single exhaust slanted out the back just looks great to me.

Quick update. After asking for a refund, he suddenly responded very quickly. He seemed apologetic and mentioned my exhaust was shipping out at the end of this week as a part of the next batch. Yours may also be part of that batch depending on the order number (mine was 1122 and ordered on 07/01 FWIW). I decided to still take delivery of it on the condition I see a legit tracking number with a moving package by this week. I'll keep the thread posted if something else changes. Still not a fan of the process but if I get my exhaust I can move on with my life.

Thanks so much for the info. My order number is only a few after yours so I hope I'm safe to assume that I will be receiving mine as part of this batch as well.

Did you contact them through Instagram or email? My contact, or lack of, with them has been through instagram.

On the note of SP1-R, I love the look and sound of mine. But the drone on the highway at 2k is getting a little old.

Anyone got some tricks/products to cure this?

I’ve seen people fab up J pipes to cancel out the drone but curious if there’s any less extreme options

Pm'd but if others want to know, just email by replying to the original email containing your order/receipt for it. It should automatically direct the email to [email protected] and will give all the order number info that he is going to need.

Yeah, I’ve been driving in Sport so it doesn’t go to 8th, but then that’s loud too, albeit without drone.

I know there are silencers out there too, but options for a 5” are pretty slim. I’ll keep looking

Update. After another email to him he finally gave me a tracking number! He also upgraded my shipping to 2nd day air since I’ve waited for so long. I don’t know whether this will apply to anyone else but I am glad I have seen movement now.

Currently pending for UPS to pick mines up. We are not out of the woods quite yet…

My exhaust came in yesterday. I haven’t fully inspected everything but I will be getting this installed tomorrow. Everything looks in order :)

I found adding some closed cell foam cell sound deading mat under the exhaust heatshields, to reduce cabin drone reduction some. https://a.co/d/2bfBFTj
