The 350 is the car I always dreamt of when I was younger, so I am aiming to keep mine as long as possible. The Supra is my daily car for work commuting. They are both super fun to drive, and the Supra has definitely grown on me . That said, I still feel like the 350 would be the one I keep if I could only choose one.

Supra has tons of torque from a standstill, and feels faster off the line, but nothing makes me smile like winding out the 350s gears (as much as possible on the street). There is so much more theatre to the 350 that the Supra just doesn't have.

That said, I wouldn't want the 350 as a daily. It's much less fuel efficient, and it sits to low, especially with the 350r's front splitter. There are places where I live that I just can't take it, and I live in a pretty flat area. I do find the Recaro seats more comfortable than the Supra's.

Overall, I vote keep the Supra and get a 350 to be it's stable mate!
The supra wasn't really a daily. I drove it whenever I could but once it rained or got below like 45 i put her away.I have a work truck and a 83 foxbody that i beat the shit out of but there's times where I would drive the supra for weeks and than wouldn't so it not being a "practical" daily driver doesn't bother me. I don't really care about 0-60 or how fast out of dig it is, I don't race or track it so if it can eat up the mountains and turnpike that's all that matter to me.

I'm the opposite. I just sold my 21 ESS Supercharged / E85 5.0 to get the supra.
I really enjoyed the 5.0 (I had 4 of them), but it was time for a change and I've always loved more nimble cars, and other than the space inside, the Supra seemed to check all the boxes.

Is the Supra slower, yes, but it's more fun imo.

Go make your own call.

Right now on E60 I make 650wh/600tq. Im actually about to test drive one in the next couple hours
so I'll see how it feels.

I got to drive one in anger in Malibu canyons (Turo), my buddy had the gt350 and I had a 991.1 gt3. We swapped for about a 20 minute rip. After about 5 minutes my thought was “the gt3 is better, but it’s certainly not 2x better or whatever the price differential was at the time. Suspension was decent for oem, motor was glorious, brakes impressed me a lot given the weight and the transmission was quite a bit better than the gt of that generation.

Seriously impressive car and the best mustang I have driven. I have experience with almost every generation v6 and v8 between autox and track days, much prefer it to the 800hp Shelby 500 a student had me take him out in to show him what the car could do. Too heavy, heat soaks too quick and frankly not even in the same ballpark as far as a drivers car.

That being said, I went with the manual supra for two reasons: I was concerned about the motor long term (apparently it’s overblown but I know this gen b58 is solid) and I found (personally) that it didn’t slide well, like in terms of holding angle consistently and drifting/sliding which I personally enjoy. That was a short session and on the street so maybe I’m wrong. Something felt wonky between the steering and suspension. Funny enough I had an easier time sliding the gt3, which is bizarre for a rear engined car, but the steering just tells you everything you need to know in terms of what the car is doing. The supra also slides well, but steering feel is horrid.

I think it’s a very special car that will hold its value for a long time and is great for spirited driving. Not sure how it does on track, from memory I would think it’s a bit soft for track work but so is the supra. If you are not worried about the motor reliability I think it’s a great choice!

So i was able to test drive.Surprised they let me go out on my own.First thing off the rip is the torque, have to get around 3500 to start feeling it kick it in but I was geeked off the start up lol.One of the best sounding stock cars I’ve heard.The tremec is like butter just slides into gear no fight.Was a little rusty trying to heel toe but kinda figured it out towards the end.The suspension and steering feel pretty good, a whole new game compared to GT.Doesn’t feel as tight and nimble as the supra but still capable. Definitely going to start looking towards a spec I want.Kinda in love already

Stay away from gen 1 voodoo motor. Gen 2 is the way to go. I had a 2020 GT350 had fbo, sct tuner. It was a fun car, I got whooped by a Mk5 in Mexico, sold it a few weeks later and here I am. Mk5 is a different animal and much funner to drive.

Stay away from gen 1 voodoo motor. Gen 2 is the way to go. I had a 2020 GT350 had fbo, sct tuner. It was a fun car, I got whooped by a Mk5 in Mexico, sold it a few weeks later and here I am. Mk5 is a different animal and much funner to drive.
Problem with the gen 2s is they want 10-15k more than the gen 1s

I think everyone should drive and own what they like.
I think the only mistake some make is being too brand loyal.
It’s good to try different things and have a broader experience.

I’m not much for Fords though, I had a mustang GT years ago and even with a manual and mods I was just not very happy with it.
I only kept it for 2 years.
It sounded great and was great for burnouts but that’s about all I really liked about it.
I’m sure the GT350 is a much better experience but it’s still basically just another mustang but with a better powertrain and suspension.
I think the only Ford I could consider is a GT and that’s not in a viable budget for me lol.

One thing I like about the Supra is there’s nothing else quite like it out there and it’s a pretty unique experience.
Most other performance cars out there under 100k are just based on regular cars but with better drivetrains and aero.
The Supra is a rare exception.
Sure the underpinnings are similar to a z4 but it looks, feels, and behaves nothing like one.

Best small sports car I have ever owned so far.
It’s not a Porsche or anything but it’s also way less expensive. 🤣

If you decide to get one lmk, I still have some aftermarket parts that I need to get rid of. Been too lazy to post it up on the GT350 forum and eBay.

GT350 doesn't speak to me because there's a base trim in the eco-boost that looks almost the same from a distance that you see 50 of a day on your commute. I cannot remember the last time I drove home from work and didn't see multiple Mustangs.

That's not to say that I MUST own something that stands out (I mean hell I got my Supra in silver and put basically black wheels on it...), but if I'm going to spend $50K+ on a sports/performance car I want to feel like I'm driving something different than the traffic around me. The exhaust sound is amazing don't get me wrong, and that can be a real head-turner, but to the uninformed it's still just another mustang "that probably just has a new fangled exhaust modification" to the 66%+ of Americans that don't know anything about cars.
