Tail Light as DRL possibility?

Has anyone tried coding BFD (brake force display) on a USDM MKV? I think the euro spec has it by default, but I wasn't able to find it to test. That can help avoid rear-end collisions as well. For those that don't know, it flashes the brake lights a few times under hard braking (not sure what the cutoff is).

Always learning cool stuff from folks playing with the coding, anyone know of you can control windows from the fob? The e60 could window down on unlock and hold and window up on lock and hold, was glorious!

I believe holding down the unlock button rolls the windows down.

Thanks! I coded the car for the longest button presses it could (child proofing) and had never thought to hold the button down long enough to find this!

I did the Rear DRL’s coding but I got a error message on the dash when done.
Anyone else had this problem also?

Got it too. Went away on its own.

I did this to my car, but my father stated that I no longer have any signs of braking while driving when he followed me. The LED’s just stay on as a static brightness that doesn’t change when I apply the brakes. Is this supposed to happen? Cause if so, this might be something to change as I don’t want to get rear ended…

I’m gonna try to get a video to see if he was right or not since that’s the case… will post again if he was right and I may have done something wrong when coding or something.

Update - my car just has a wrench light for “Brake System” and my brake lights are infinitely stuck on because the car thinks the brake pedal is engaged. So the DRL tails do work ?
