the power level when I was there was said to be in the range of ~350hp, but that was just what I was told.

when I rode in the mule, it felt like a decent kick and that figure seemed about right from the seat dyno.

Guff originally asked me about it in PM, and I told him it felt about like a 300hp turbo 86 I rode in not long before that (as far accel).

So.. the 382hp rating from the Z4 seems realistic for this car as well?

I figured I could at least throw out that the car was testing with more power than it originally had during my tenure (not going to throw the exact figure or drop anything further though).

They insist the weight is still around 1400kg as well.

When you say "was testing" does this mean "most recent testing"

This was a response speaking about the 86, but it mentioned a little something fun: "Yamaha's automotive engine staff has been integrated into Toyota, so the same folks who designed those classic DOHC's are still there. They in fact did assist with the FA20 which is unique to the 85/BRZ to an extent, having a very different character than the rest of Subaru line, and many unique parts too. Did I hear you say Yamaha? LOL. Currently own a 2017 FX SVHO. Its a bat out of hell from a stop!

Please inject some fun into Toyota bland taste including Lexus. I have driven RC F Sports, NX, RX, IS of the current model, its quiet and nice inside but the drive is so boring. Then when I hop into my Miata ND, it gives me a smile.

I've been saying this the whole time, Cayman weight, more power and torque. This car is going to be a beast!
Just because A70TTR's news was only "rumors" or "through the grapevine" suddenly people started throwing out random weights, 1500kg, 1600kg that weren't from any sources. The most recent hints we had were always ~1400kg.
