Woohoo man!! Grats. Nah mine took 28 days sitting out the front of Melb for a docking spot... Mine sat in Melbourne for 1 night. It then came straight to Brisbane, which took 3 or 4 nights (3 I reckon - memory fuzzy), then it sat out the front if port for just 4 or 5 nights waiting for a docking spot. Once docked, I was sitting in the car about 2 weeks later.

They hadn't finished unlocking my car though. No navigation. It requires a code from BMW to unlock. They still hadn't got it. I used to work at the dealership, so they gave it to me anyway. The Supra has about a full day of unlocking shit on the computer service was telling me. And there is only one guy at our dealerahip accredited to do it...

Haha, ignore these. My nephew was checking Toyota's SAP morning and arvo for me lol.. we realised these dates get updated automatically about 1 day after the next ports docking date gets updated. Each decent port has their own website with docking dates/eta. Which must be sent to Toyota's system. As you experienced... the ports have average ETAs lol.

The Toyota systems ETA will be changing right up until the day of delivery.

Seriously? I guess they didn't start Building manuals until September 2022 if the manual was a 2023 option? So you waited 11-12 months after production started.
The Supra is the 3rd new car I've ordered in the last year. The Kia was supposed to be an 8 month wait and it was delivered in 6. The Mazda was supposed to be a 6 month wait and it was delivered in 5. Both Kia and Mazda kept me fully informed all along the way and came in ahead of their honest delivery prediction. Toyota quoted 6-9 months when I ordered. I looked at a Tiguan R and was told it was an 18 month wait and the dealer wanted $6000 on top of RRP. Passed on the VW obviously. Previously I've waited 12 months for my Focus RS Mk3 so I'm no newbie to waiting. Fords coms was great, VIN, Production date, shipping and ship name. Couldn't have been better quite frankly. I emailed Toyota Australia a month or so back enquiring and they said they didn't have access to projected build information and talk to the dealer. So the company that has it's name on the car and pays for it's production knows less than the retailer? Yea right Toyota. I'm wondering if someone in the BMW plant just decides at the beginning of each day which countries cars he's going to program for production today, lol. Sound like it might just be the way it's done.

Honestly, I think it’s pot luck. Nobody at Toyota knows and nobody at the dealer knows so they just pump out average numbers hoping they’re right. 12 months plus or minus a month seems to have been about right but things may have changed?

The entire Toyota ordering process was embarrassing really. From what I can tell, your order is more of a hope and dream until an actual VIN is allocated.. which is why dealers just quote a bullshit average and communicate as little as possible. ?‍

My Azure Blue just tipped over 2000km on Saturday. New wheels and new tyres booked for Saturday install, just now need to find a place to install my exhaust + intake + magnetic paddles (no I'm not doing it myself lol)

I ordered my 2023 Copper Grey AT Supra GT mid-January, and recently my daydreaming has finally come to an end. I have received confirmation of my car being built in August with a ship name, VIN, and ETA to the dealer at the end of November 2023.

I was wondering if anyone has installed ZL1 rock guards for their supra specifically the rear gaurds. I am unsure of which option to purchase, as there are two options: 19-23 and 22+ with different mounting holes for the rears.

Wheels have already been purchased; any recommendations on ceramic coating for wheels? I was recommended Gtechniq C5 wheel armour.

Shhiittt. Congrats man. That's just around the corner.

I have the ZL1 rockguards. Such a cheap/average product... but costs quite a bit to get to Aus.

But yeh, recommend hah.

You want the "2022+ all models". I got front and rear. Very easy to install, especially if you have a tiny 90 degree mini ratchet.
