I also wanted to add since I see you ordered a ZL1: a stock ZL1 is fast as hell for a normal person—hell it’s fast as hell even for people with fairly quick cars. So this “sharing” sport bike acceleration with passengers isn’t really necessary. A ZL1 with Kong x-ported blower, intake+ported TB, stage 1 pulley, and flex tune (for up to E40 ish) will blow all but the most jaded peoples’ minds, and be reliable (assuming good tune) and drive like stock most of the time.

I honestly think dude should have just went on street car market and bought a 1000+whp car that was built by a somewhat reputable tuner. Some people really throw crazy money into their cars only to realize the majority of the dopamine high is because you’re throwing money into it.

Canceled my order. Drove home a ‘22 ZLE with 3500 miles, kong ported factory blower(I think standard port job), upper and lower pulley, 2’’ longtube, rotofab intake and 103mm throttle body. 93oct put down 660whp, felt meh but now I have a platform that’ll handle big power so let’s see what I get up too this winter! I need a dragy. I’m one of those real jaded folks, my wife couldn’t tell if it was fast or not because of how loud it is… lol.

The contradictions don’t stop there, it also has functional aero which hampers 60-130 pulls. ;) I drove both the standard and 1LE, the DSSV dampers are firm but not crashy so they are on the limit of my “GT” standard. Certainly no Mercedes or Dodge (ancient Mercedes chassis lol) I do miss my M5s ability to have a Jekyll and Hyde feeling but the 1LE is easily the most capable car for big power one can buy below $150k.
I went 1LE for the immense brakes and wheels, 345s are on their way!
This winter is heads/cam/2650 which should have me around 850whp on 93oct.
Early days but no regrets yet!

…oh yea, she was dirty from the road-trip, full detail this weekend and I’ll do some paint correction this winter. Hope she turns out as nice as yours @Zcarmenb28

Congrats OP. wow, "slow as f-" about your A90? Dang, I thought even just with a JB4 the car is much too fast for street unless careful. :hmm: I must be getting real old now..

Self preservation is a very strong impulse!

No argument that the MKV in stock trim is plenty of power to get yourself hurt, never mind with mods. On normal roads I don’t think you can use much more than five hundred hp without some pucker-factor.
While I wanted more oomph for spirited driving, I save the high speed stuff for empty highway and track days.

Nice purchase! You don't really seem too excited about it though. Drive a Ford Focus for a month to help put everything into perspective.

I am on my second 2021 Supra. First one had 609 who on 93 with a pure 850 and 650cc meth. Second one and current has 520whp on 93 and 650cc of meth and both are anything but slow, what are you talking about??
Random question. I don't seem to hear a lot of people talk about or write reviews on the forum about the Pure 850. Seems like most people buy or talk about the Pure 800. How have you liked your Pure 850?

Well my first Supra which had the 850 I sold it almost a year ago. That being said, the power band shifted more towards the upper range which was what I expected and honestly what the car needed. The boost started to hit 500-800 Higher than stock turbo so lag was not an issue. If we talk about Reliability , i had the car for 1.5 year, I sold it to a friend and we both send it every time we drove the car and turbo still going strong. He even ran a 9.8 in the 1/4 mile after installing axles and drive shaft. Car is on stock transmission. My current Supra still has stock turbo with 520whp. I am happy with that at the moment.

What are your mods? I’m assuming that 520 is with an e blend.
