I think this is just the 5.4L unit from the RC F GT3 my guy and the whirring being the sequential transmission.

I hope this bodes well for both Lexus and Toyota having their own variants with this chassis.

The engine in that test mule, great as it sounds, is not what I'd expect in a Supra variant.... assuming the Supra won't actually be going 100% electric with the A100 generation as has been recently rumored (although I expect that eventually no matter what).

This is supposed to be a flexible use chassis with varying degrees of internal combustion and electrification, right?

Sounds like a pressurized system to me…I definitely hear turbos. The whirling sound is a mystery tbh….but if a form of hybridization is in the works, may explain it. Race-grade hybrid systems are loud….whether this is that or not is the question.

That front hood is out there! This must be a hyrbid setup with that length.
