I would wait for the 2022. Heard it will be another 50rwhp. So your look close to 450whp then with a nicer steering wheel also too
I heard the 2030 model will be 800rwhp. So Iā€™d wait

I've called my sales in the second day after MY2021 announcement to tell him I like to wait for MY2021.

Sales guy told me the new engine does not pass EU emission yet, but I think it will pass since Z4 M40i with 382ps could,

My understanding is that in Europe Z4M40i is still the 335HP engine, because the 382HP engine fails emission standards.

The Z4 in Europe only has 340HP, not 380.
So I would not count on 'passing the EU emission'

Wow, first time to know, thanks guys.
Now I'm thinking about calling my sales guy again...

Not just 50hp, 50rwhp**. Thats a lot.. thats close to 80 crank. The 2020 Supra vs the 2021 is not going to be close especially with it being almost 2.5 seconds faster 0-130. That MASSIVE. I recommend anyone looking to get a supra completely go past 2020 and wait for 2021.
Where did you see 2.5 seconds faster 0-130?

Ahh, compared to the M40i; I understand now.
new motor vs old motor. I think it will be worse Supra vs Supra considering the M40i weighs a couple hundred more. Cant wait too see

I think it's only 150lbs but yes, should perform a wee bit better.

Edit: I hope it's as responsive to a tune/downpipe; could take it to about 540hp on pump gas if so.

I'll stick with a higher compression motor for now as I don't want to sacrifice the response. It's the reason why in the later years all the fast drag 2JZ went with a stroker kit 3.4L to avoid the 10 hours of turbo lag LOL.
