And even if the base price is $50k (I still think $45k is more likely), it's still going to be cheaper than nearly all the cars listed in Bloodjohn's post above.

it's almost given that supra will start higher than $50K, anyone thinking that it won't is simply lying to themselves. there's no version of the car that'll start below $50K or anywhere close to $45K. Most likely it'll start around $53K-$57K

look at it from another perspective, do you think BMW, supplier of the supra's engine and the co developer of the car, will allow toyota to price its product lower than their compact sport coupe flagship(M2) while having expected better performance than said car?

The M2 is a luxury performance car with 4 seats. The Supra has 2 seats. Apples and oranges.
