I’ve asked 4 dealerships around here if they’ve sold any 2.0’s and their answer was no. There might be a big surplus when the 2022 models roll out.

dealerships around me seem to sell a lot more of the 3.0 than the 2.0 (obviously) but the opposite seems to be true with the two Z4 models at BMW dealerships, which is interesting. That’s just an anecdotal local observation though.

I think you're right. Looking at G29 ads on Autotrader there are double 2.0s (114) for sale as 3.0s (56).

Correct, iirc the majority of sales from all gens of Z4 are made up of the base model. Hence why they are usually not as wanted or fetch as much in the used market. It seems people are more geared more towards the less common mid and higher trim Z4 models.

I drove from California to Washington this past weekend. Saw so many GR Supras in just two days. Must have saw around 7-8 Supras. It's good that they're selling decently.

I think this is inventory related. There just aren’t many available at this point.
This. Especially if you want a 3.0. Autotrader shows 156 total 3.0’s available in the US right now.
