Black A90 Supra - Late 2020 model
Hey Guys.

Thanks for the welcomes and feedback!

Half the fun of the Supra is stomping on the throttle and feeling the thing go crazy. Seems to accelerate much much faster when you stomp on it than if you kick it down in gear with the paddles then accelerate!!

I'm only joking guys!

But, yeah the torque does kick in very low. I'll try some different tyres and maybe rethink the tuning!

I think this is the first time hearing SuperSports are trash. Kind of refreshing as we hate fanbois.
It really depends on how they're being used and what kind of setup the rest of the car has done.

A track car or a 700bhp drag car with little street usage and always garaged when its raining or cold? No chance on the stock tires, go for another option.

A DD or weekend car that's close to stock, maybe some autocross, and will see some rain? I'd still make the argument for wider tires, but PSSes are a fairly good option in this case. Not to mention that some race tires won't warm up enough for maximum effectiveness on an autocross course, so some people prefer high-performance summers over track-specced tires.

I saw that the PS5 is coming out now. I can't imagine a wider size on the back on stock rims even if all seasons would be bad or a wider rear of Super Sports. Sport cup 2 works too but only on warm weather even if its not track temps, higher wear levels though.

Yeah I agree. Since I only drive my Supra like a grand touring car on sunny dry days only, the stock SuperSports do fine. I just need to roll into the throttle or lots of wheel spin (only Map1 JB4).

Yup, i second the PS5's. Heard they outperform the last tire Michelin put out (i think it was the PS4S..?) in wet conditions. I want to give those a shot since i'm currently on PS4S and suffering on 3rd gear pulls now. ?

I'm hoping to talk to some tire companies tomorrow and see if I can preorder before their global release on March 1st. It's a pain in the ass trying to find PS4S or Super Sports that are 265 and 295 anywhere; Tire Rack especially is pissing me off with their "in stock" bullshit basically meaning, "we have a shipment date from Michelin to get these tires ourselves and then we'll get it to you".
