No particular reason other than I am always trying new things and also the simplicity of the Garmin Catalyst just works for me.

I agree on BM3, the mobile app is complete trash and basically only works if you make a virgin sacrifice and even then it might not work.

I got sick of it and moved to MHD last month and it's been rock solid. Works every time. Even certain things that the founder of BM3 told me I was having issues with because my 2020 DME is weird, like logging VANOS, which never worked with BM3, magically now works with MHD. Imagine that.

They always gave me the run around. The people operating their support tickets are morons, are probably IT dropouts, and I was using their support feature a lot because their app sucks ass so much.
That's good to know MHD is working out well. My tuner had similar things to say about BM3.

Seems like the easiest option is just to switch to MHD to monitor OBDII channels and keep Racecapture for GPS and CAN. I have a Garmin too which is foolproof butt need a little more detail to improve my very amateurish driving.

You can also use MHD to log while you still have BM3. Just need to pay for the logging license, which you would need to do if you move to MHD anyway.

The other great thing about MHD is you actually have BIN files for your tunes (and oem BIN) and not some ethereal thing in the cloud. BM3 could have an outage (which has happened to me while at an event and I needed to flash a revision, and I couldn't) or even pull your license and you would be out of luck.

Thanks. Great point, I didn't realize MHD has different licenses. I can defer the tuning license and make swallowing the sunk cost a little easier 😅

Hahha so true. Think of it like a payment plan.

I also believe you can transfer the BM3 license to one person so you can recoup some cost there.

You can log it via enhanced if you have a logger that supports that. It's in the forth tab in my spreadsheet. ID #4436
I've looked in the 4th tab in your spreadsheet, and I only see oil temperature for CAN for racechrono, and not oil pressure. Do you have more recent information for this? Thanks!
