I purchased a set of GTC02s. Front and rear are half an inch larger than the original wheels: so, 9.5" and 10.5".
I don't want (and really do not need) wider tyres generally.

Enkei says that you can use the original sizes (255/35 19 and 275/35 19) on those wheels, but I'd rather not have even mild stretch.
I'll be putting PS4S on these wheels.

Am I correct in assuming that bumping up just to 265 and 285 would be the correct size for those, right?

Also: bonus question :)
If someone with GTCs and oem-sized tyres has pictures of them (to understand if/how much would the stretch be)... would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance.

The 285s on something like a Pilot Sport will still be visibly stretched in the rear. Mild stretch, but still stretch nonetheless.

I recommend jumping up to a 295 out back if you haven't bought already.

Since i just recently got some new wheels and tires in that size, here are some pics for reference.
Tires are Yokohama Advan Sport V107.

Oh really? Thanks for the heads up.
No, the rims are still in their boxes. I won't install them on the car for a month or two at least, so plenty of time to order the correct tyres. Thanks a lot!

I gather the PS4S are naturally on the "narrower" side then?

If I remember correctly, on OEM 2.0 rims, the original PSS (not the 4S) looked a tiny tiny stretched, and I noticed that when I switched to the current Bridgestone Potenza Sport, you can see how the tyres are sitting way more "plush"/straight (similar to SJ's Yokoamas above :) ).

Apologies for all the very "basic" questions. I am more experienced on messing with motorbikes :D
On cars, still a lot to learn.

Actually, hold that thought about what I said regarding OEM wheels and tyres..
Found both tyres (OEM sizes on OEM 2.0 wheels) and stretch is roughly the same. I must have imagined that last bit, sorry :D

For the new ones, ok I'll go a bit wider still, at the rear.

This is the set up I’m running and agree. Even 295 looks slightly stretched. 305 would be really close to rubbing on inside components.

I'm on the same width wheels with 275s up front and 295s in the rear. They don't appear stretched to me. I enjoy the 35s all around since it's a good amt of cushion. btw, i'm slightly tucked.

This car is running 265/35-19 up front and 295/30-19 Pilot Sport 4S in the rear. Same width wheels 9.5" and 10.5" respectively.

Usually the difference between section width and tread width is what gives a tire that more rounded versus squared off look. With shorter sidewalls, that look tends to be less pronounced regardless of tire.

Just, for the record, and if it can be useful to others...

I did fit the wheels and new tyres.
I decided to go for 285 at the rear, after a quick test. As suggested by Apex (thanks again for the knowledge share!) there is a fairly mild stretch. Not terribly far off from the OEM PSS rear, to be fair (see second picture from post #6 above).

Front, 265, a bit more square.

Very happy with the result.
No rubbing or anything weird. Car will be on track in a month or so, so that will be double checked out :)
PS4S are noticeably, and pleasantly, less stiff than the Potenzas, despite 19" rims and less sidewall overall.

Now just needs a wash :D :D :D
