USB-A to USB-C in Centre Console

I am just upgrading my USB ports in my daily and it got me thinking: Is there a BMW USB-C port that might be a direct replacement for our typically cut price Toyota USB-A port? Surely there's a little USB-C module BMW put in their cars that would drop in?

Has anyone done this or have any leads as to whether such a part exists?

This seems like the easiest method imo.
For fun though... This is the underside of the center console tray:

It looks like some of the more modern BMW USB-C modules also use the same connector. I believe these run into the head unit, but in addition, another 4-pin connector?

If your goal is strictly charging (and not multimedia playback), maybe there's a cigarette lighter retrofit? Maybe something like this?

Edit:It looks like most of the BMW folks who've wanted to retrofit one in have just been told "just get a USB A->C cable and problem solved" ? I mostly agree.

I have like four USB-C ports in my G20 330i, but they are all much wider looking than our USB. (the whole unit, obviously not the port)
