2022 Supra 2.0L(sold)
Some parts of the country are a bit tougher markets unfortunately. For example, down here in the Southeast we have to deal with Toyota Southeast Distributor who slap on packages like Toyoguard and Premium Cables to the MSRP. I was able to use this to my advantage by negotiating those packages off of MSRP as well as using a competing dealer's offer to ultimately get the deal on mine.

I know in other parts of the country they aren't tacking on those packages, so I tell people it's worth it to look nation wide and see what price they're selling at. Sometimes it's worth it to just get the car delivered to you rather than pay a markup for a new one or even pay MSRP or more for a used one. Just takes time and research.

The first supra I was trying to buy they were pushing accessories on it but I ended up backing out of course. These are the moments I wish I can just order my Supra online and get exactly what I want. Honestly though I refuse to pay anything over MSRP on a normal production car within reason.

you bought a 2.0 not a 3.0... less demand
Actually they also had a 3.0L selling at MSRP. I even spoke to my sales guy about this and he confirmed they are not doing any markups on supras. Even the 2.0L is selling at or more than MSRP on the used market right now. I can sell my 2.0L more than what I paid for right now. Of course I would only break even if you factor in tax.

This thread is crazy. The dealer here in bowling green had a yellow CF brand new for sale sticker was 63k suffice to say that kind of car doesn’t sell well around here. They had it with a 10k markup then dropped the markup and were selling at sticker and it still didn’t sell and they dealer traded it for a 4Runner.

Got a '21 with <1500 miles for 58.

Basically new car price but did not have to wait 6+ months.

Dealers are still asking substantial mark up here when they get one on their lot (6-7k).
Bought my 2021 GR Premium new for 54k +taxes and tags at Clearwater Toyota.
So glad I jumped on the deal before the "chip crisis". ?

I was able to get my '22 3.0 premium for MSRP back in September. Dealer initially had a $5k markup, but after leaving the dealership, they called me and told me they can do MSRP.

This is the first time i've paid MSRP for a new car, but with the way things are, I guess it could have been worse.

Just got 58k for my a91 with 8k miles. Pretty crazy number to me seeing how I paid less than that one year ago brand new. Gonna end up taking a hit on the next car tho

Whats next for you? I had a 2021 3.0 premium. Paid $51k OTD after taxes back in 2020. Looking back at it now, the $5000 off deals a lot of Toyota dealerships had is something we may not get for a LONG while.

Slightly off topic, I had a spreadsheet when I was looking at M4's back in 2019. I had a list of possible M4's I wanted to buy, with prices & miles. Dealerships were selling 1-2 year old M4's for $50k with like 20-30k miles. Those models right now, even though they're 2 years older, are going for $60-75k. Pretty wild time we live in.

Getting an m4 haha. Found a 2018 CPO fully loaded for 60k with 28k miles. Price is pretty high tbh, but I really fell in love with the car. The way it handles and the power is perfect, my only complaint is the sound. Will definitely miss the Supra catless / tomei combo.

Deals are still to be had. When I was looking for my Supra the dealership was asking 57k MSRP. I told them 54k. They said no. I straight up and told them the Supra will not sell at that price. One, it’s a two door sports car. Two, the demographics for Supra are so rare. Three, people with money are going to buy a c8 corvette. I left the dealership, 1 hour later they called me. Said they can do it for 54k. I told them I found another dealer who was willing to sell it for 53k. They counter offer 52k. I told them to add the military rebate on top of that for a grand total of $51.5k. Otd I paid 53k for my 21 Supra.

it just takes time to get the right price. Even in this market, Supras are not selling. Just negotiate, worst they can say is no. Plus, dealers are losing money when the car sits. They will give you you a call, I promise
