I have a question about running valve tronic exhaust. My friends straight piped Supra sound more louder than mine when flaps are open… I am concerned whether or not my flap are not fully opening. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a manual reset you can do? If not I’m so bummed out a $2000 exhaust isn’t as loud as a $20 straight pipe!

Straight pipe is gonna be loudest... also will sound like raspy hot garbage. U need a cutback exhaust system with resonators/mufflers to have a good sound/tone paired to an carless/catted aftermarket downpipe. Plus the drone while driving has to be unbearable w a straight pipe. Valvetronic makes a good system and it's plenty loud can't rlly get much louder

God damn, Nate. Do you know how to look for anything yourself without us needing to feed you like a small child without arms?

Lol... louder isn't always better. Do you still have the oem downpipe?

I bought a pricey exhaust because I don't want it to sound like ass and drone my head off. It's one thing for a track only drag car to have a dump or straight only pipe but I dunno why some people do that on a street car.

I got over it I’m actually happy with it now because my Tomei droned like crazy!
