you also have to keep in mind that there is more clearance at ride height. It’s when it’s at full droop when the bearing hits. So at ride height, yes 4 degrees is possible but as soon as you go to full droop, bye bye bearing.
This is what I believe the 'clunk' a lot of people experience is puling into/out of angled driveways etc - that bearing binding up or installed improperly.

Agree with your droop assessment. That thin metal cased in plastic would get insta crushed.

It's the eBay one. Otherwise you'll need to order the entire assembly with the top hat from Toyota.

The only thing I'd worry about is the 27mm top nut part. The installation guide from Verus is recommending impact wrench on everything. While BMW advise NOT to use impact wrench on ANY suspension part in ISTA because it may damage the inner piston in the damper. Ideally you'll need a large passthrough wrench with 27mm socket, with a regular socket to counter hold the inner nut that secures the adapter sleeve so everything can be torque it properly.
I honestly found the Verus video pretty half-assed. He was like “there’s torque specs for the top nut, but “meh”. (Goes to town with impact wrench). I also watched another video where a guy put camber plates on an M3 and used that ”special tool” for the top nut. It has an opening int he socket so you can tighten the nut while holding an inner screw stable

A passthrough wrench is all you need. I ended up torquing everything to the sliding plate before mouthing the top camber plate to the tower as the last step. That makes the process much smoother, no need to worry about damaging the mono ball, gives more room to work on, and of course without an impact wrench. They also missed the step that the 4 bolts on the tower need to be torqued + 90 deg according to ISTA.

I found both their video and the PDF instruction to be "tell me if it's falling apart or not" with little care to the best practices.
