Wanting to understand knock retard/ignition retard

Hi everyone,

I've been logging my car lately and noticing pretty consistent knock retard and some ignition retard. is this normal/to be expected? Car is tuned on Ecutek, 98RON fuel. added downpipe, exhaust and intake, everything else is stock.

30+ psi of boost or 2.2 bar, sounds like a high amount of boost for current setup.

Seeing about 21 psi to 16 PSI.

The boost is -1 bar from the actual reading you see on the log, so it should be about 16-20psi.

I'm not seeing knock retard anymore but still seeing ignition retard

Can we make it a preference that people replying to logs actually know how to interpret logs correctly?

Even at the start of the log i get ignition retard just cruising.. anyone know why would this be happening?

If I were you I would ask the tuner to fix the boost control first. From 3000 rpm, the overboost causes throttle closure permanently (which can also have a negative effect on the ignition angle).
