Installed my custom center console parts that were re-upholstered by Swedit to more closely match the custom red seat leather. Doors are next. Maybe some of the dash, we will see.

It was on sale, hence Christmas red color ?. But it felt great being buckled in & not having to brace my knee(pad) against the door. So many hypercars or race cars were there. I got to practice being passed all over that iconic track.

And my lonely car watching them all in the garages behind em. Their big RVs & rigs were parked in the back. The weekend will be a regular HPDE and those garages will be full. But it was fun as shit running all day, no run groups with that funky bunch.
Those cars and Sebring are impressive. I was there a few years ago and had the chance to be on the paddock. My first time seeing them close.

definitely on my bucket list to drive my car there. Will be there in April!

(Looking for a simulator here in Miami to at least get familiar with the track, otherwise I will end driving on the airport runway I’m sure ?)

I'll be there with the s2000 so come find me. I've done over a thousand laps at Sebring over the last 11 years. Happy to help you get acquainted with everything!
Thanks!
I’ve done zero laps there. And I’m still on HPDE1. So will go very slow trying to figure things out.

Will find you there so I can get some tips.

Are you doing the GR single day or did you buy a whole weekend (technically only buying one extra day).

I’m going for the whole weekend. I already took my GR day and did another full weekend at miami. So this will be technically my second track weekend

I usually dip out in April ?. But if you both are going (and a few other buddies are as well) I might as well hit that one for my last hooRa ? until October and it gets cooler again. You’re going to LOVE it! This weekend was cut short for a stupid mechanical issue. I had to run off and went over a big edge/rumble you normally don’t do. Nothing major but I’ll have to get her tighten up when I get back home.

Got to actually go around and talk to other peeps yesterday that I got to drive with on Friday. Fun stuff! Really nice guy with a fully carbon fiber car ~2000lbs car with him in it asked me, the wife and son in law what we thought about different wraps for his car. I begged him not to wrap it. All carbon fiber looked so damn cool!!!! As far as lap times, anything under sub 2 mins is insane at Sebring. That Batmobile will not only do sub 2 mins but he personally does 1 min & 53-55 seconds ?

My son in law got to ride shotgun in a buddy’s Z06 & another friend’s Porsche Cup car they use to race & train other drivers - in that same tent as that carbon fiber LMP car. That guy rented the track after us normal HPDE peeps were done that day. So they could have an hour of private driving. He invited me to do the same. Which was pretty damn cool of him/them ✊? They probably knew my car was broken (regardless) ? The day before - Friday, the Spotify CEO (or owner) rented the track after 5PM. Wish I had a video of the prototype he was driving. It was loud as sheeeeiiitttt ? Unfortunately, I was too busy working on my car with a friend but could hear it. It was insanely loud!

Back to the normal paddocks, the dude next to my friend’s Z06, flew into Sebring from California. The airport is connected to the track. He said his home burned down. He didn’t seem too upset. Said he bought a place in FL and a brand new Mercedes AMG 63 V12. His home tracks were Sonoma and Laguna Seca. But he’s never experience anything like Sebring. Absolutely loved it! So many manufacturers & race teams always testing here, the track is huge, and it’s more technical than he anticipated. Gotta agree with the him. This track never gets boring.

Even with all these IMSA & crazy rides, believe it or not, I still got “Is that a Supra?”, “I love your car!” and “Is that a wrap (on the Phantom grey)?” from these guys. Really fantastic bunch always at these events!

What will I be doing in my Supra today? Wife is washing her now. Even just day of Friday tracking made her dirty as hell!!!!! Also gotta get used to driving in a proper race seat. So far, it’s not bad. Plus the wife likes it. The dash lights aren’t as Christmas flash as I thought they’d be. I’ll still have to find Razorlab’s page on how to code em all out. And if anyone is/was considering a slider - do it! Makes getting in and out much easier. Especially if anyone else is driving the car (such as my wife). If not doing it yourself, have the shop make adjustments to the seat with your helmet on. They adjusted mine (tilted it back a bit) so my head wasn’t jacked forward. Making it much more comfortable for me.

I love reading your stories. ???

agree. DO NOT WRAP A CF BODY!
Where do we sign the petition????

i guess renting an entire track is what rich rich people do????

Back to topic:

I will get the license and the laptop. If I succeed on shutting down the Christmas tree and you meet us there we can code them out then.

I need details! Looks awesome, can you explain what all it does and who installed?
This is the Precision Raceworks AFS.800. The system has two Walbro 535 pumps in the tank, plus the OEM pump. The OEM pump only feeds the DI system, and the two Walbros only feed the PI system. It's a "regulated" system, meaning the fuel pressure is adjustable to hold a very specific value, then increase as more boost pressure is applied. In other words: the PI system turns on when I start the car, and any unused fuel just goes back to the gas tank.

Advantage to this setup, versus something like PFS or Vader, is that that this system does not fight with the OEM fuel controller to set the right fuel pressure. This is especially valuable under WOT, where the PI and DI system (often) need constant correction because the OEM pump is trying to pull back pressure, but the aux pump(s) are trying to add pressure. Any system with a dedicated feed to the PI system should work this way, but I chose the PRW kit for this reason. It makes tuning easier, fueling easier, AFRs safer. All things I wanted. W

The craftsmanship is excellent, the wiring harness is excellent. Personally, I think this should be the go-to solution for most people considering PI. There's also a AFS.460 model with a single extra pump, which would be sufficient for most people. Overall, I'm really impressed, and with three pumps this is my "lifetime setup", which I was also interested in. Buy once, cry once.

Personally, I think this product is also a good deal. I don't mean "inexpensive," just a good deal. Considering extra fuel pumps are already $600+ for DIY kits, or $1000+ for true PnP options, a little extra to get the "best" made sense to me. Custom-made electrical connectors, billet components, no half-assed shit, clean wiring.

Edit: for any tuner who stops by this, we had the best results setting the FPR to 43.5 PSI. It's 1:1 boost referenced. We used solid state relays. We disabled the relay trigger in MHD+, kept the <40 PSI soft limp mode as protection, and then just set PI to trigger @ startup with no throttle input. PI pump is at 30% DC.
