Second weekend on the track. Definitely seeing some progress.

was that a Ferrari?

EDIT: video is not speeded up. The camera is placed in the bumper. The proximity to the ground makes it look faster. Still a cool take.

Love that camera angle! I was wondering if the Ferrari was injured ? but bushido Bryan answered the question. If you can’t do point by’s, you obviously can’t drive either.

Hope to see both of ya out there b4 it gets too hot ? for me. Waiting on a few parts….

Most definitely that guy in the Ferrari was more scared than me. ?
And yes. That was kind of a T Rex Point by.

when my wife asked me how this weekend felt compared to my first one, I told her that sitting with you on the car and seeing you driving it was an eye opener on what the car can do. I’m still more concerned about line, breaking points where to throttle, I haven’t seen what my times even look like. Obviously I’m slow, but the important thing is to get the technique better.

turn 10 remains scary, it feels like I’m plunging into the abyss. ? But on Sunday I saw I was a little more confident.

ECU is sitting on my dining room table. Waiting for my MHD license! Thought it would be instant and I would have the car running today. :(

The camera is not on a suction cup. Is bolted to the bumper and on a metal case, has a lens protector (all borrowed from aircraft external camera mounts)

It survived the weekend unscathed. Just a couple of pieces of rubber here and there.

You can install and have the car run without putting MHD on it.
Very true...it hit a high of 15* today so I don't mind a bit of a wait. Rain and 50s later this week, car will be back on the road soon!!

Seat time takes… TIME, lol. Glad you’re focusing on what’s important. Anyone with a Supra should really get out on track at least once. These cars are soooooooooooo much fun out of the box. No mods needed.

Agree with you amigo. No need to lap time yourself right now. I wouldn’t do that until you move up to solo. Getting down turns 1-5 right would be a lot and everything else you said. I’d mess with turn 10 last. Too many peeps underestimate it, don’t run off like they should and eat wall. I was glad to see that Ferrari take it lightly ?. You’ll have to ride shotgun in mine where I can push it harder, show you over and under braking, trail braking & other stuff that comes later. Glad you’re out there!! Hopefully I‘ll be back out with y’all ASAP ? ?

:offtopic:
Edit: After doing our free track day with NASA, anyone in the Miami area should give FARA Academy (HPDE) a go. Their instructors are really really good. When you’re ready to give them a try Gabe gimme a shout (PM or text my cell). I have two really good friends that live in MIA and race with them & will instruct ya 4 ?
