Did the same and I agree with you. Felt a little slower, but the speed climbed just as fast as before. With the smoother throttle I hope the tires hold traction a little betterI should probably open a new thread but after trying the new MHD custom throttle setting - I set the custom Sport throttle to normal and drove it exclusively in sport mode as I generally do - there was definitely a difference.
I just drove it around town but overall the car felt a lot smoother and dare I say it, it actually seemed to improve that pesky 1-2 shift as the power came on less abruptly. Having said this, this did make the car feel slower but I think it might be because I've been feathering the throttle for so long, I need to get used to the new input.
Curious to see how it behaves on B roads.
Oh, and I didn't get any oil or tyre inflation warnings after applying the OTS tune this time.. but I did get a CEL.The code cleared without issue but still.. FFS.

I don't want to go too early, but it was pretty transformative. Might take her out for a hill climb tomorrow.Did the same and I agree with you. Felt a little slower, but the speed climbed just as fast as before. With the smoother throttle I hope the tires hold traction a little better
As an FYI, every_single_throttle_map has 100% pedal = 100% throttle.I should probably open a new thread but after trying the new MHD custom throttle setting - I set the custom Sport throttle to normal and drove it exclusively in sport mode as I generally do - there was definitely a difference.

Is this any different from setting the 'Engine' to normal in sport individual? Do you lose burbles or something doing that (I have mine turned off anyway).I took her out on a short drive on one of my favorite B roads today and I'm really impressed with that new normal MHD throttle pedal map. Gear changes definitely feel smoother and the car is just more enjoyable to drive, both in anger and just pottering around. As @razorlab suggested above, she can still a handful at WOT, but it feels more predictable.. like you need to actually put some effort in to get her to step out of line.
I'm also guessing this will improve 0-100 times, if that's your thing.
In any case, if you are in an MHD tuned manual, try setting your throttle pedal map to normal in sport, I honestly can't recommend it enough.
I don't know but I would say so as my understanding is that setting engine to comfort in iDrive does more than just reduce the burbles/change throttle mapping. Also, just to be clear, I'm talking about a setting in MHD and not iDrive. And I don't drive it in comfort mode, like ever.Is this any different from setting the 'Engine' to normal in sport individual? Alright, well I flashed it and set Sport to Normal mapping in MHD - I just always assumed all engine did was change the pedal mapping.I don't know but I would say so as my understanding is that setting engine to comfort in iDrive does more than just reduce the burbles/change throttle mapping.
Please report back. Curious to see what others think!Alright, well I flashed it and set Sport to Normal mapping in MHD - I just always assumed all engine did was change the pedal mapping.
The Butt-Feel will reveal all in the morning!
