After 2.5 years with the Supra which I have loved I have moved on. Predominantly driven by the fact that getting in and out of it when you are nearly 52 and 6 foot 5 puts quite a bit of pressure on your knees!

Sticking with a straight 6 BMW engine but gone for an F82 M4 this time in Individual Porsche Speed Yellow. Well I still like being a bit different after driving the Supra for a couple of years ?

Enjoy your Supras and I will still keep an eye out for them as this was very much driven by a practical need rather than any big issue I had with the car.

Still waiting for someone to produce a small, lightweight sports car in the vein of a GR86/Miata but with proper performance. Like Supra or better performance. Make something in that category that will do about 1.05G, stop from 70 in less than 150 feet, and do at least low 12s in the quarter for Supra type money and I’m in. Otherwise, keeping the Supra…

An Aston Martin Vantage V8 2018 onwards model would be my dream car, Some have dropped to below 70k, I just dont think I could afford or justify the costly maintainence. So in reality probably another mx5 which was amazing too, small light and sprightly too plus somewhat cheaper to maintain.

~ Yeah I'm 5'8" and feel it's the perfect fit (upper seat on a slight recline and adequate legroom) for the Supra. I personally couldn't image driving this car being over 6' plus on a daily bases and finding it truly comfortable, unless your seat was nearly vertically upright and your eyes are looking into the upper header.

Been playing with the idea of trading for an LC500 or maybe time to set daily duties to a GX down the road

Exactly. This is why, in my opinion, the Supra is one of the absolute best performance buys out there. The C8 Z51 is right up there as well but its minimum 20 grand more than the Supra.
However, why not take a 2200 lb Miata and add a high performance 2.0T (300-325 hp), a well tuned DCT, a proper suspension, lightweight forged wheels with maybe a 255/35 tire, and track worthy Brembos? Sure, all this will add weight and there’d be additional chassis stiffening but you’re still probably in a 2500 or 2600 lb range. Add $25000 to cover all the upgrades and now you have a $60ish car that will run with or better than the higher end $100,000 and up (way up…) Boxsters and Caymans.

The Supra is one very potent bargain. If you want what you describe get a Super Charged Elise or Exige. Thats about as close as one can get but they are not produced any longer.

Man, I looked HARD at an Elise back when they were being produced. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t a good time in the timeline of my existence on this rock to pull the trigger. Also didn’t help that the SC models were Porsche money as well. Today I won’t take a chance on something like that in the used market. Especially that many years from new. Alas, the Supra stays in the garage for probably a long time to come. Poor me…?

Elise or Exige beats Supra in terms of "fun of driving".. I know something about it, had 5 of them! :D Funny that these Lotus cars have more in common with Toyota than GR Supra, they all have Toyota engines :)

Next is keeping the Supra and buying something else fun. No idea what that is yet-I want to see what the shake up is with the change in EV direction from the gov forcing the automakers hands and what comes from that. Keeping the Supra till I’m too old to drive it anymore and they take the keys from me…

I looked at an Exige also, but wasn't a good decision at the time. I looked again ironically a few weeks ago, seems like they still hold value and hard to find obviously. Next after Supra, prob nothing for a while tbh. I think I'm getting old. Maybe an M sedan and leave it alone haha. Get off my lawn!! Also, sorry didn't realize this was in the UK section. I love ya'll so it doesn't matter haha

My thought process aswell. I don't think I'd be buying a dedicated sports car after the Supra for quite some time. Most likely a g80/82 M sedan or M suv.

I plan on keeping the Supra for the foreseeable future, slowly adding to it. Had it for 5 years now and still find myself looking back if it's parked anywhere.

I'm also enjoying my Yaris GR, which is for wet days and the winter.

Next is likely going to be the Honda Prelude hybrid (looks to be late 2025/ early 2026), which will be a daily driver allowing me to keep the Supra and Yaris on low miles.
