What other vehicle were you thinking of buying, if you did not buy the Supra?

I was going to get a new Bronco but the constant changes on release dates and options made me cancel my 2021 reservation.

I haven't bought yet. This will be my first car since moving out of LA (live in NYC right now for past 5 years). Planning to move back, my top 5 choices are

1. F80 M3
2. Supra (have time to wait to see what 2022 brings)
3. M2
4. Model 3 Performance
5. 2017+ GTR.

My old cars: E36 328i, E46 330i (Dinan), IS 250, S2000, Supercharged E46 M3, 911 996 Turbo, 2009 A4. It's really close between the M3 and Supra, I keep flopping back and forth lol. Planning to have kids but wife will definitely have a practical car.

If I had to choose between my model 3 performance and the supra, I'd pick the Tesla to be honest

My last two vehicles I’ve owned for 18 years.

this car hopping: is this what people generally do? It’s very foreign to me.
If you have the means to and are willing to take some losses here and there it can be done pretty easily.

I myself have owned 8 cars in the past 5 years and i've only lost maybe a total of 10k all said and done.

Agreed. Too expensive changing spouses with any regularity, so why not enjoy a diversity of cars. Much less expensive and test drives are much safer.

Oo what makes you lean towards M3P? Do you daily both? My dad has a long range model 3 and I like it quite a bit, however supra looks much sexier.

It was between the C8 & Supra for me but then Covid hit and put a huge wait time on the C8 deliveries so that was the main reason. Love my Supra but we’ll see what happens down the road.

I drive the model 3 performance every day. The supra I drive maybe half of the week. The punch from the m3p is unreal. It's simply quicker, by far, than the supra. Add onto that the full self driving, all wheel drive, interior comfort and practicality, relatively low maintenance, gas savings, and the technology, I'd pick it all day over the supra. I still love my supra though

Glad I got the Supra, very rare to see in the wild. Faster than all the other cars I was looking at and the most practical/new. Wasn't sure about driving it in the Winter, but I got a good deal and they put some winter tires on it. Came from a 2018 Civic Coupe.
