What other vehicle were you thinking of buying, if you did not buy the Supra?

Oddly enough a Ford Explorer ST.

I came from a Focus ST, and might be trying to start a family soon lol. So I was looking for something with more space.

Convinced my significant other that we'll upgrade her car to something bigger when the time comes.

have no car yet. I am considering the Supra, and a BMW M240i. well I was, but I can't find any new 240's left in my area. the debate is between AWD and whether I go with the RWD Supra with all seasons/winter tires for winter, or AWD 240 (RWD 240 is not being considered, as I'd rather have the supra).

I also have a budget closer to 45k than 55k, so if I can't find anything new at that range I might downgrade to a Miata with a beater, or something like a Veloster N/Civic Type R.

yes I am all over the place still... but really want a Supra if I can find one in my price range. I did consider the 2.0, but at that price point I am probably looking at other options
Thereā€™s a dealer advertising a premium in your price range, see here. https://www.supramkv.com/threads/new-2020-supra-needs-a-home.7112/page-3#post-110567

I'm all over the map, but in a couple years I'd like to either get a Gen V Viper, an 2013-2015 R8 V10, or the A90 Supra.

It was either the Supra or a RAV4 hybrid for me. Debate was between practicality or a fun and sporty daily. I've driven boring, practical cars my whole life ('05 Honda Civic, 2000 Chevy Silverado, 2015 Nissan Altima). When I saw an A91 drive by in person the debate was over. I still find myself looking back at the car when I walk away from it in the parking lot, feels like a dream.

I was all over the map with my choices that are very different but each one had something about it that I really liked.

1. Cadillac Escalade - curved OLED display that is coming out in the 2021, holy shitballs
2. Porsche Panamera Hybrid - one of the few electric cars that has turned my head
3. Nissan GTR - I blame this on hanging out with ricers over the years and watching too much Fast and Furious which might explain the Supra choice too........
4. C8 - yeah the crowd in my area that drives C8's, I wouldn't fit in

One of my ricer friends actually mentioned the Supra and I was like what? I have never seen one in my area so of course I had to go look. I have never experienced 'love at first sight' with any man but I have with motorcycles and cars, the Supra was one of them. Easiest sale EVER for the sales guy, I suck at having a poker face too.

Greetings. This seemed like a good place for a first post.

A 2021 A91 in black is the leader in the clubhouse. I'm also considering an M2 Comp, a 718 Cayman, an Audi RS3. I'll have to drive them all. The Supra is the only one I would order new.

I've been working from home all year so until we find out if that becomes permanent I'm not in a hurry.

I was going to pull the trigger on a wide body Dodge Charger 392. However, they basically quit making them during the pandemic. Closest one to me was 600 miles away and in boring black. A month later I just popped for the Supra right off the showroom floor. I spent more on the Supra and miss having a badass sedan but those are the breaks. Iā€™m happy with my Absolute Zero GR.

2020 GT500 or GT350. Watched videos of tuned Supras gapping them both so that was that. Also considered BMW M2 (decided it looked too stubby in the rear, worse than the Supra ?) and Audi RS3 (None local and too plain Jane looking).

This +1
My thoughts on the styling are very futuristic. Actually this car could be released in 2030 and will will still look beyond its years.

I had a 2015 mustang gt wife had a 2015 EcoBoost. I had been considering a gt500 but the dealerships are outta their minds. So maybe another gt or gt350(again big market adjustment as they call it). A friend got a 20 mkv and loved it. Wife got a Lexus rx350. I ended up with a 21 mkv and love it, definitely one of my favourites if not top for daily.
