What type of screen/display is our supra's gauge cluster?

So my dad saw some scratches on the screen located in the instrument/gauge cluster and tried to use a polish gun to try to get the scratches out of the screen (you could probably see where this is heading) and he left the polisher on one spot for too long and pressed a bit too hard and now there's a huge eye sore in the middle where the drive selector indicator is. Anyone know how to fix this or know what kind of screen it is? I've bee searching around and the only answer I got was MAYBE LCD.

He what now. Heading down that road, at least go up to 3000 grit to smooth things out, but a screen scratch remover kit could have been a better bet...

575 USD I'm assuming Idk if a used one works because im assuming you need to get the whole thing recoded to your car since I think the intrument cluster holds the odometer of the previous car that it was on

If I knew or anyone knew what type of screen it is, its already so far damaged I could try somethings to try to make it better, but I would need to if its like an LCD or OLED or IPS etc..
