In every car I've owned carplay has connected via Bluetooth. When I tried to turn on wifi to connect to the Hotspot I got a message saying turning on wifi would disconnect carplay. How am I supposed to connect to my Hotspot and have carplay at the same time?

You cant, at least not wireless CarPlay. You can however use wired CarPlay and then use Wi-Fi to your hotspot. That’s the only way to use both.

Supra doesn’t support wired CarPlay does it?
I’m pretty sure it does? At least I think I remember it working wired only at some point.

edit: unless I’m confusing it with my truck. I’ll be with the car tomorrow and can test
