As above, the S58 in a Supra seems somewhat mythical. I can imagine it being produced for like a handful of cars and in Japan only or something. But it’s not in BMWs interest to undercut and outperform their own lineup unless they make significant sums from this partnership lol. Plus the b58 is just so sweet, I have no qualms.

S58 Supra would be insane but we just need to go ahead and kill this idea because a B58 Supra is already directly competing with the M2... an S58 Supra would downright kill that market and, as previously mentioned, it makes absolutely zero sense for BMW to introduce their flagship M-line motor into a non-BMW product.

Agree with this coupled to the gen 3 B58 would have to be certified with the stick or split the production line’s supply inputs and tooling with adds costs hard for us laymen to calculate. I suspect Gen2 B58 until the end

There have been rumors of an S58 Supra GRMN final boss since 2019-2020. We will likely only see a tuned B58 to 425-450 stock HP and then the Supra sets off to the sunset in 2025 or 2026 before the MKVI goes hybrid or gets electrified.

In Europe and some other country’s they still sell the A90 because the A91 fails to comply with emission regulations.

The S58 would be nice to see in a Supra but I don’t think it will happen.
They would need bigger brakes, better suspension, a DSG and so on which would raise the price close to the 100k mark.
BMW would also put their M2, M3 and M4 sales in danger when there is a Toyota with the same tech at a cheaper price :D

A91 is just an aesthetic trim level not an engine/model differentiation.

Could you imagine the level of butt hurt from the enthusiasts? Rival the levels not seen since the Disney Star Wars sequels.
If the S58 gets into a Supra GRMN and even if it's a limited run of 500 vehicles made or something, the internet would literally break. All the MKV Supra haters crying since 2020 about how it's not a 2jz would literally not know what to say.

They would 100% still say “Muh BMW”, but yes an s58 Supra would be one of the best performance cars in the last decade, and that’s saying a lot.

The S58 making it to the Supra is a rumor and simply a dream. Do you know how much better and faster the Supra would be than the M2 or even the new M2 CS coming out soon? No way BMW does that to themselves and ruins the M2s thunder.
The current Supra is already a lot quicker than the new m2. It’s not even close other than top end.

Yeah the driver in the M2 Manual is suspect. Poor shifting. Happy to see the Supra win, but apples to apples we can't compare. S58 vs B58. Twin vs single turbo. Like to see the win though. I have the same car in the video and it's fun.

No it isn’t, let’s be real. The Supra, with all things being equal, is not faster than an m2. (With the exception of extremely skilled drivers on smaller road courses) The M2 performs a bit better all around, as it should, being a full fledged M car with all that M sauce. B58 does sound a bit better though.
