I got the winged CF caps in today... fitment was okay and removed wind buffetting up to around 50 mph with the windows all the way down... after that it was the same...

If anyone would like to purchase these from me, will let them go for $125 shipped... were installed 5 minutes to see if it would kill the buffetting...

Hello everybody,

I was just curious if anyone had done anything about the thrumming we get when we open the windows? I think it's pretty unbearable above 50 mph or so and would like to do something about it. I recall that some other people had complained about it as well?

I mocked up a wind diffuser similar to those mounted to Porsche's and am curious if others would be interested in it if it worked?

I test fit a to-scale drawing of it and it seems it will work.

The hope is that it will stick to the plastic piece between the mirror and the door.

Hey everyone, So we all know the wind buffeting is insane between 40-75 mph. Here in Arizona itā€™s just getting nice enough to drive with the windows down. Iā€™ve been trying to come up with a solution but everything Iā€™ve tried came up short.I bought mirror spoilers from Blackmill performance in the past and thought it would work, and it eliminated The wind buffeting 100%. They are made to fit a 991 Porsche so they donā€™t fit exactly the way Iā€™d like them too but I donā€™t think they look all that bad. If anyone makes a small spoiler that is the same design but fits better please let me know.
Thanks JohnV

Holy crap! $160 for a thin piece of plastic that probably cost less than a $1 a piece to manufacture? No thanks.

My purpose in posting the pictures was to show everyone that thereā€™s a way to cure the wind buffeting. In my post I suggest if anyone can make a similar ā€œmini spoilerā€ to install in that mirror area to please let us know. I am not suggesting we should all buy this exact product. I had a similar wind buffeting issue in a Porsche 911 I had and remembered that there were companies that made a product to correct so I wanted to see if the principle could be used on the Supra. With as many people that are passionate about this new Supra thereā€™s bound to be someone who can make something less expensive and possibly a better fit.

thanks...John v

Sounds like a fail since the regular setup doesnā€™t have buffering until 47-49mph...
