Wonder anyone has seen stock dyno figures for BMW G82 M4 with S58 motor?

I'm curious to see stock ATW HP figures for a new M4 vs ECUtek tuned MY20 Supra with catted/catless downpipe and quarter-mile times from the 2 vehicles.

Carwow has already run a 11.6 quarter mile with a trap speed of 124+ mph. Automann tested a 100-200 kph of 7.9 seconds. The AWD version of the M3/4 is will cut down the quarter mile time significantly. Such a beast.

I gotta be honest as a BMW owner. I'd love to have a Z4M with an S58 for performance reasons, but I spent some time yesterday listening to the new M performance exhaust on the M3/M4. I know it's 100% my opinion but my lord, I hate it.

Going to be hard to beat that AWD MCompetition though, especially once tuned.

They’ll be unlockable the same time our 21’s are. In fact they will probably help to speed the solution up with how many new m3/m4 owners will start blowing up forums when they figure it out

I doubt they ever will be. Which is fine by me. The cars are plenty fast in stock form.

There are still piggyback options too, albeit not as great. I believe Manhart already has an M4 pushing 611 horsepower with a piggyback

Yeah, that will probably become the norm.

Think I'd only trade up for a GT4 / Sypder 718 or a used M8.

Trading a 20 Supra for a 21 M4 is trading a tuneable ECU for a non tuneable. Boo on that.
But that S58 is Moneyyy... better yet toyota make the final a90 with s58!!! Before it goes full on hybrid sad bananas.

You actually need to drive a vehicle with the s58. The boost kicks in much later then most modern cars and some people prefer the b58 for town type driving.

Exactly, I just leased an M4 base manual (still have the Supra). Let me tell you, indeed it feels almost weak in the low end, but after 3500~4000 rpms it really wakes up. I can't rev up to redline yet, still breaking in the engine but from 3500 to 5000 rpm it feels stronger and pulls hard, to me looks like it will keep pulling up to redline.

I test drove the 2019 M4, also a manual and the power was similar to the Supra, power in the low end, and power in the high end too, not like the S58 though, the S58 is more linear kind of NA.

I'll do a write up, as soon as I can properly review it after the break in period.
