Not a Corvette.
I’m a Product of America And the American school system. Blame the department of education for allowing me to graduate school with all my flaws. Gotta love the No child left behind act And I got a lot of 100th place trophies. If you like my verbal, you’re gonna love what i was taught in math. I’m the future, when your old my friends and I will take good care of you. We do a lot of tick tok in the nursing homes.
So am I and I can actually spell, build coherent paragraphs, not randomly capitalize words, and have learned to cherish diversity and differences. The literal building blocks of the United States.

We are not the reason you can't spell or why you hate people/ things you don't have the capacity or will to understand.

Oh yea, the United States Department of Education is totally the reason for the trash you post. Not your fault or responsibility at all.

I shouldn't comment because I really like the US and every time I have travelled there I have found the people to be really nice.. but when it comes to politics, ya'll loose your collective shit. The rest of the world are really just scratching their heads thinking how the fuck did you guys get to the moon? ?

Love or hate orange man, I Admire what he's able to achieve that I can never And that’s piss people off. Say ”Trump” to any hard liberal and watch the rage drop. I do it all the time at work. 1 will retiring end of year to leave country and 1 is looking to retire to leave country. Both are very well off With old money. Both go ape shit when they hear trump.
Pissing people off is a relatively easy thing to do. All Obama had to do was be Black and wear a tan suit, and conservatives have been trying to burn the country down from the inside ever since lol

can we please stop with the politics and return to the topic at hand on whether or not electric cars are all just a sham to make car enthusiasts miss exhaust sounds enough to accept straightpipe fartcan VQ's and Boxer's?

Not into electric cars but recent price drop has got me to recommend them especially the Model Y. For about the same price of a a new entry Camry/Accord (under 30k) you can get a nice 2023 Model Y for work commute to those who has a garage. My only concern with all tesla is the ability to find car parts, DIY repairs and eating tires.
The most badass affordable electric-ish car to me right now is the BMW i8 If you can score a nice one for under 40k.

Unfortunately, the i8 is not exactly a reliable car. I rented a 2015 in 2019. The car's HUD display would fade to nothing on warm Summers days, and the fuel door release had failed. It was a fun car to drive but I would not want to constantly pay for repairs.

Also, in comparison to a used model Y, a new Camry Hybrid has a range of 620 miles, is quieter, smoother-riding, more reliable, and less expensive to insure. The only downside is that it won't beat many cars in a drag race.

If i were in the market for an EV i would be looking at Hyundai and Kia now.

If i were in the market for a ballistic EV, i would be looking at the Ioniq 5 N, and for so many reasons. Great car, quality, performance etc....but i'd also want to reward manufacturers making cars for enthusiasts like us. Yeah the Ioniq 5 N isn't exactly proper enthusiast car, but it's a massive step in the right direction.

I always tell people that Tesla are great appliance cars. The software integration and overall vehicle engineering are done well compared to most legacy manufacturers. (If you worked at Tesla/with them in the automotive space, you know not all but most of their engineering is pretty good.) The Supercharger network makes the whole thing a simple experience to just get in, drive, and charge anywhere in the US, even along major interstates.

The problems with Tesla's cars are build quality and random design decisions. IMO the build quality is getting better and maybe on par with the traditional Big 3 from Detroit. However, you might get hit with things like a yoke steering wheel that peels or random software updates that may brick your car.

Plaid wise (or the Model 3 Performance), they have good vehicle dynamics, and the performance of the drivetrain is incredible. However, I wouldn't bother owning a higher-performance Tesla as a weekend car. Don't get me wrong, they are good cars for normal folks, but Tesla is not in the business of building enthusiast cars.

If you want a daily that will do stupid fast pulls, is spacious, and is cheap to drive (assuming you can charge at home and depending on your electricity rate), go with any of the performance model Teslas or even Rivian. I love the R1T and F150 Lightning, which is just exactly how I want my electric pickup to be.

If you want a fun car as a toy, I like the new Ioniq 5 N. Hyundai actually tried making a fun EV for the enthusiast crowd. Otherwise, you are better off getting a rolling sports car chassis and swapping in an EV drivetrain to make your road-going go-kart project.

Elon had a lot of early Ws before he spent most of his time on Twitter, getting his employee pregnant, and trying to run the US gov like a Silicon Valley seed-stage startup. If you look at his more recent ventures, he isn't producing any big hitters anymore. Look at Twitter (now refinanced by his other startup), Neuralink, xAI, The Boring Co. His current Tesla and SpaceX success is riding off good foundational work and hustle from the early days. (I am already ignoring the FSD promises here.) I agree he deserves recognition for his work leading Tesla and SpaceX in the early days, but I wouldn't think he IS the reason why they are successful. Ask folks who worked on the model X program and what REALLY caused the delay.

No capitalist works for free. Thinking the richest person in the world "works for free" and has the best interests of the American people in mind is like thinking the CEO running a public company is doing it "for the mission and positive impact to the world". If Elon has his people's interest in mind, perhaps start addressing the issues at the Tesla factories. There's a reason Tesla is not unionized, and you and I know why.

Also, running a government like a business will literally kill people. Gutting public services overnight with no clear plan on how to offboard or sunset the service severely impacts people's lives. Furthermore, we need to achieve fiscal responsibility, but it doesn't make sense to me to cut domestic spending while boosting our military budget when the admin runs on a non-interventionist platform.

What happened to our inspector generals? Why should we trust the richest person in the world with zero governing experience, zero oversight, zero accountability, and zero transparency to figure out waste and fraud in the government when we already have inspector generals to do so?

I really think Elon should just go back to focusing on hardtech development because he's pretty good at that, but please don't mess with the government. Also guys, are we tired of winning yet? I hope we are because I am finally see the red wave (in the market).
