So I jump into things without really thinking about it long enough sometimes. Spontaneous… is the word. Well this time I really let that trait punish me. I called a few shops and the “eh…” shops priced $5k and the “great” shops quoted $8k for a wrap on the car. I watched a few YouTube videos and jump feet first into wrapping. What now I know could possibly be the hardest car to wrap, and also my car was white which is the hardest according to experts (idk my first car wrap)

After wrapping 1/4 of the car I found I needed an easier film to work with. Started with Vvivid (thanks to a certain YouTube channel) to only find out that this product is super hard to lay on curvy cars. Went out and bought Avery and it was a million times easier. Still the car was a nightmare to wrap. I cussed a lot and my fiancé hated me for a bit 😂. But we got her done after 5 weeks from beginning to end 😆. Enjoy my suffering

Yeah I had to change films after one door, rear qtr and half the hood was done. I removed everything bumpers, door handles side skirts etc. Then I wouldn’t start a panel unless I had 4 hrs of uninterrupted time. Laying edges and setting inlays over and over. Waiting for more film to come in. It’s a daunting task especially if you do it ll by yourself like I did.

How much labour costs did you save doing it yourself?

I was thinking of doing this myself and thought id give it a weekend. Thanks for convincing me otherwise.

Which part of the car would you say was the most difficult?

I had roughly $1100 in everything vs $5-8k.
Well done you. I'm the same with PPF in that I can't make the hourly rate V skill V application time matrix add up personally so I do it myself. At the end of the day it's sticky stuff on a car not open heart surgery.

Good job! I'd be so paranoid of cutting the paint under when cutting the film. I don't think I could do this haha

All of it other than the rockers, doors, and roof
