Doesn't it say 3.8 for the turbo?

I know this is all guestimates, but still...
No, it actually says 3 liter dohc straight six turbo, with the 8 speed AT, will do 4.8 sec. The engine does 326ps in the BMW but will do 340 in the Supra.

Not in the other page posted. I don't know if the figures are from the same issue.

Fwiw, the MKIV did 4.7-4.8 to 60mph, so maybe it's referring to that?

I asked a Japanese person lol, this is specifically talking about performance of the JZA80

What is weird is all the reports of speed and doing the calculations is not making sense at all.

The obly way to get such a time and power was 485, whoch ironically os what was listed on the gt sport update, but even then, no way

probably because as we all assumed, the magazine is merely speculating/hyping this up for more readers.

No, your Japanese person is wrong. He/she probably mistook it because the next sentence went right on to say "If somebody wants similar performance of the JZA80, then the 3liter turbo would be the choice, but the 2l model would still be fun." Anyway, the preceding sentences quote the top speeds of the 3 models (235kmh and 250kmh+) and the 0-100kmh of the three.

But I tend to believe 4.8 rather than 3.8, from 340hp.

Well this has now hit Autoblog as a "leak" rather than the umpteenth speculative piece it probably is (what's that magazine's track record like?). Commenters are not at all happy with the front end in those renderings - and I can't say I disagree.
