20k miles but for how long? Lol
Can’t really talk about reliability in such a short time frame of around a year or so. Maybe in a few years, we can revisit the conversation.

It’s like eating a bag of cheetos daily for 6 months and say your completely healthy. Keep eating it and after 5 years, then see how you are. Lol
That kind of use over such a short period of time should be proof enough of reliability.

Bottom line, if you're afraid to do anything for fear of breaking shit, don't modify it. Or maybe even consider a different platform.

the downpipe (catless or high flow catted) reduces the restriction from the stock cats, this helps the turbo spool easier and with less stress. Reliability is no concern whatsoever

When tuning the car, I recommend a tuner that has access to the ECU and can monitor how the car is reacting to the added boost. The Jb4 for example will kick your car back to the stock map if it overboots or is running too lean.

Flash tune (and the Jb4 as well) can datalog and show you how the car is handling the additional boost. As you see from the datalog, the car is running well within safety margins.

Get a proven tune, run the recommended map for your mods and you will be fine.
what do you think about the visconti tune with ecutek?

I don't have any experience with their tune. Most of our customers use Bootmod3 or the Jb4.

Some who want even more power and control get a bm3 custom map

We're the largest EcuTek dealer in the USA and the largest MKV tuner in the world. If you ever have any questions, youre more than happy to reach out and I can assist. I typically reply to text instantly, but dont check the forums too often.

same here bro, I really like the car it’s a great daily and badass weekend car too
Don’t know why so many selling their cars lol
The only reason I know that have sold are: Need more seats (Couldn't get a 2nd car), Health Issues (Couldn't get in and out of the car, but this guy ended up buying selling 2x and keeping the 3rd time), Budget/Financial Issues, Wanted New Project, Sold the 2020 for the 2021.

Many of the guys on the Mid Atlantic MKV/MK5 Supra Owns Group are proud to have over 20K miles in less than a year on their daily Supras. If you are in the Mid Atlantic Region, I encourage you guys to join our group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/716026955833980 We tend to have many meets and cruises as well. These guys share the knowledge and have a lot of experience as well.

Can you reasonably change out the exhaust and intake without a tune (also without issues/lights etc.). I am more wanting to do it for the sounds. I am not a big tuner/track guy. Just want to sound a little meaner going down the road.

If You change the CATback, there should be no lights, since You are not touching any cats. Why would CEL pop out? Also many exhausts claim no CEL guarantee.
For intake, I'm not 100% sure. You get less restriction so more air flow, dunno if it has any effect on sensors.

Imo leave downpipe in place with cats, do only catback exhaust, something like AWE non-reso or HKS. Will be louder with no lights.

I didn't think I was going to go that route. I went with the JB4, Intake, Downpipe, but also added EWG, and 50/50 meth at this point. Got hooked. If you want to keep it simple, I would say go with the sound, get an exhaust and def don't miss out on the gains you get with the JB4. Simple plug and play. Shouldn't get any lights with the exhaust. Some 200 cell cats guarantee no CEL. I went with a catelss downpipe and have the light. I can clear it with the JB4 when I feel like it. But most of the time the light is still on. Trust me, you want the gains the B58 has. The cars a a different beast with the gains!
