Do you consider the Supra a "young persons" car?

I find it funny that most people think this car is "expensive". I guess being it's a 2-door people think that. Fully loaded minivans cost damn near as much as a Supra. Not even getting into full size SUV's and things. On the C8 fb page a guy was crying that his 1LT C8 was left outside during his valve train issue, like they cared about his 65k car when they have a lot full of 90-100k Escalades and Tahoe's and trucks. For me the Supra was just a little more than the MSRP on my Mustang (though the Mustang was bought for 39k not 52k lol) it's not an expensive car when you look at fully loaded sedans and minivans costing close to the same.

Edit: to stay on topic, I'm 43, I don't feel this is a "young person car" BUT I kinda get were some think that, before i saw my Supra i never would've thought I'd be back in a "JDM" car again, i thought i "grew up" from that. I still think Vettes are old people's cars though hahaha

I think they mean “too expensive for a young person”*
Exactly. The Supra works sorta as a daily in very specific situations, but for the most part, it’s a $60,000 unnecessary purchase/toy. There are far more practical cars. It’s not a great daily, doesn’t do great in snow, etc etc.

I think this is what people are referring to. It’s a lot of money for a toy.

This makes more sense. Not the most practical car, but it doesn't keep young people from wanting and loving it

I could not think of a better daily driver and truck:

-made a run to Floor Decor and transported 7’10” of stair nose
-made a Costco run that included a 35lb bag of dog food
-made an Autozone run for several items
-made a Home Depot run

All of this in the same trip.

It’s basically like having an F150 except gets better fuel economy.;)

Majority of the "young" would probably WANT to own or drive a Supra but it doesn't automatically make it a "young person's" car. Old age but young at heart. Drive want you want. Life is short. Be respectful. Share your passion.
