Yep. It makes life rather difficult. The steering rack makes big exhausts quite a pest on a lot of cars... Plus we miss out on lots of hardcore European and US stuff... A corvette is a $150k here... Apparently we're getting the next gen?

Toyota Au had expressed their interest in bringing the A90 here, and they did a good job with the 86, so fingers crossed we get something good!

Just like the manual transmission thread - Can we express our collective passion for varying trim levels on the upcoming supra?

Please offer 1380kg/3050lbs variant, with I6 turbo, that can be optioned up as required?

Or multiple trims -
a "pure" spec- low weight, I6 power
a "GZ" spec - all the trimmings and fruit, I6 power
a "RS" spec - fixed back seats, cage, very low weight - I6 power

Someone can create another petition pls?

New Corolla hatch should be on sale sometime soon. Shaping up to be quite the little car. :)
New corolla hatch is much more nicer and promising than mkV atm

To Toyota, PLEASE OFFER MULTIPLE TRIM LEVELS!!!!

Now that's out of my system, the Supra should range from:

-Simple, slightly above 300hp, not too expensive(40k?) and under 3000lbs
-Around 400hp, with more high performance hardware, a price tag of 54k to 58k and at most weigh 3100lbs
-Fully loaded trim level of the 400hp version, cost 60k to 65k, 3400lbs
-A hardcore version in the same vein as the GT3 RS and LFA with Nurburgring Package and weigh at most 2900lbs

Also each version can be equipped with either a manual transmission or an automatic transmission(torque converter or dual clutch?).

Toyota, I know you're reading this.

Please make this the lightweight monster we were led to believe so it can run amok on the sports car segment. At least 350-380 hp at 3000-3150 lbs would be enough to draw curiosity towards Toyota, let alone having it at 57 or 58k where it undercuts Cayman prior to adding options.

And if you can, please let the car run wild with something like 500 HP down from the get go at 75k around 2900 lbs if that's even possible to show you mean business. Everyone here wants you to succeed, hell, the world wants to see the Supra succeed.

Come Toyota let's rekt all the other sports cars.

We want you to have a lineup of focused, pure sports cars that can easily whoop the arse of its rivals while being priced competitively.
I know it may sound hard to pull off but as long as you keep your cars simple, pure and focused on driving dynamics, performance while having firm yet compliant ride quality.

High quality, really well engineered, extremely reliable but without the ridiculous price tag of Porsche(s).

Toyota will offer multiple trim levels. It has been said many times.

Gr or GRMN or Gazoo

However, those trim levels may be just suspension tuning, racing stickers or "fast" badging (TRD Racing) with no performance upgrades.
**Cough F- Sport COUGH**

Sadly, this over boost hype is a coined terminology taken directly from the BMW website. It is NOT innovation. It is capitalizing on the Un-enthusiasts who dont know any better.

Dont try to fool the enthusiasts, Toyota.

Toyota, you have disappointed the automotive world by resurrecting a legend.

Shame.

Clearly makes no sense; and clearly BMW is responsible. Everyone in the industry knows BMW can't sell sports cars (not souped up luxury family cars). The purpose of any collaboration is to bring costs down. Here the opposite happens. Looks like BMW wants its Z4 stillborn, so to kill its twin, the Supra. BMW clearly does not want Toyota to show that they (Toyota) can make a better sports car with better engine for less, so they sabotage the whole project. I expect them to sabotage the production line with something grave, to tarnish Toyota reliability.

Germans are sly traitors that seek power through deception.

I think that BMW still hasn't forgotten about that 10 second lap time
