Tbf, summer tires don't grip worth a damn in the cold no matter how wide you go. I imagine driving them in the appropriate conditions while properly warmed up would net you limited if any wheel spin.

Check out this article sometime. Summer tires are basically useless below 45 and they can even be damaged if you drive on them below freezing.

It’s not about how wide when we’re talking straights. Wide tyres are for turning, wide AND high sidewall is for straights. Bump down the rim size, increase the sidewall, then you’ll be golden. Let them ripple

It's not how wide, you just need decent tires.

This. Going to a softer tire helps too. But A90s put down so much torque that you'll always have to be judicious with the throttle...

I would sell Toyota my entire warranty for less than 1,000

Is it because you voided it with mods? I'm thinking about buying an extended warranty from the forum reccomended toyota dealer and thought it would be great. Concerned about long term BMW reliability and 10 yr 100k power train for 2500 seems pretty great.

I say this because I expect it to be a terrible mess to warranty a BMW through Toyota. I have a connection at my local BMW dealership so I’ll get good pricing. And this way I don’t have to tip toe around my warranty / commit fraud like some folks on here
