I think it's the way the headlight is shaped and the angle of the picture that is giving it the affect that the front of the car sticks further out from the front wheel.

Yeah that has to be it, the headlight looks slightly different but everything else matches nearly perfectly (mirrors, wing, taillight shaping, etc)
