Looking at gaining about 50-75 extra hp for my Supra with tuning…. My car is completely stock and I’m planning on keeping it stock for a while. All I am looking for is tuning so I can tune and untune it as needed :)….. is it possible? And which company should I use? Ecutek or MHD?

Depending on your year you’ll have to get your ecu bench unlocked to get a custom tune via MHD, bm3 or ecutek. You’re other option is a jb4

It really comes down to more questions than answers you gave here.

What fuel are you going to run?
Who do you want to tune?
Do you plan to throw more mods on after?
Are you prepared to kiss your warrenty goodbye?

How about just get a JB4 and change maps from your iPhone on the fly.. can't make it any easier. Well, given one knows how to install it, I suppose. But it wasn't that difficult to do.

Once you flash your ecu It will be seen by Toyota ( for warranty work)..
You can flash it back to stock but it'll still be seen by Toyota..
If you arent gonna do any other mods n just want a little extra power MHD is a good choice ...
Their stage 1 (ots) flash will give you roughly 40whp and about the same 40 torque..
With that said once you rewrite the ecu you will more then likely fight for any and everything warranty related...

Because my understanding is the performance difference is minimal compare to stage 1 tun?

The jb4 easily adds 60-100 whp by itself. It depends on the mods and gas you have. Look up the dyno numbers of people using a jb4. I also am selling mine if you do become interested

I think OP is looking for a little bump, nothing crazy, probably doesn't want to check logs or buy a JB4 tune from Jesse, so the answer here might be JB+, which is actually a really solid option.

It's cheap, it'll have that 50+hp bump, easy to install and remove (in minutes), and if OP wants to upgrade to a JB4 in the future, BMS will take back the JB+ and apply the purchase price towards the JB4.

Seems like a win, win, win.

It makes sense, but from my experience, almost everyone with a JB+ upgrades to the Jb4 later.
They say they don't want much, but this changes quickly once they see the potential ?
