This might be the wrong topic, and also might be the most Texas thread on this website. Please be aware, this will NOT be place for political/legal discussion.

I am searching for opinions on where to mount a holster for CCW inside the Supra cab. I have a eyed a good spot behind the passenger seat that is easily within my reach. There is a child seat mount that could be used in combination with a custom designed adapter for a holster (which I will likely have to make on my own).

What do you guys think? Do you carry in your Supra? (Do you use the cargo net in the passenger footwell?)
Am I a redneck trying to put a rifle in my mud truck? Can I fit a folded PCC behind the seat?

Thanks everyone for your time!

I'd say in the pocket behind the passenger seat but you wouldn't be able to get to it before your head is blown off by a car thief so...

Moving to Dallas next week. Is Texas a Constitutional carry? In vegas I need a permit to carry conceal so was wondering if I needed a permit.

You can legally carry in your own vehicle if you are 21+ and your weapon is hidden out of sight (not on your person)

If you have a CCW license in the state of Texas you can carry concealed on your person in your own vehicle.

Iā€™d like to keep political and legal discussion to a minimum as this is a topic about interior modifications. I felt important to leave the above disclaimer, as it might influence how an individual might choose to carry in their own vehicle.

I do not have wireless phone charger. Thus I use a place under the dash next to USB port. I attached a pair of very strong magnets there to hold compact size (P365) handgun. It is easy to reach and not really visible from outside if your car windows are tinted.

I wish if Toyota had covered compartment (like BMW) instead of cupholders in the central console. I only hope someone will come with custom design for that (used one in my old BRZ)

Best place for carry in a vehicle, ANY vehicle, is on your person. Fastest access point is appendix carry. Before any of this is considered, for the love of Christ TRAIN TRAIN and TRAIN some more. Youā€™d be surprised how quickly something becomes a flying brick inside a vehicle involved in and accident. It doesnā€™t matter how secure a mount/holster/whatever, it will likely fail. In the event you have to bail quickly, you want it on your person as you may not have time to secure it safely.

Did you ever try to pull handgun from appendix holster while seatbelt is locked? Think about it - how much time is needed to unlock the belt, unbutton/unzip jacket before you can try to pull the gun from holster, all when you likely still need to keep one hand on the steering wheel?

I've kept mine in my glovebox but I keep seeing ads for the little magnetic holster thing that you can put above your feet.. curious but wondering if 3m tape is really enough to chamber a round as they advertise

For some reason I struggle to find a range that will have a good replication of threat environment while in the Supra. There is some outdoor dirt ranges in Austin, not too sure I wanna wheel the Supra through those. Could see myself doing some larping... I mean snap cap training in the garage though.

I've also been their victim. No way that would work well unless you had the right spot, even then seems they sell screws so you can just caveman that shit right in there. Not as elegant as I'm looking for. I also want it to be reasonably concealed (and off my person) so that I can comply with the law at all times. (Since not all drivers of the vehicle have a CCW License)

Train this one as well (appendix inside waistband). Get in vehicle. Buckle up. Raise shirt/cover garment. Tuck seatbelt behind your carry rig and grip. Cover area back up with shirt/cover garment.

I may not know all of the ins and outs of the Supra or any other vehicle and donā€™t claim to, but weapon handling and manipulation I am quite familiar with.

I only ever leave my house in a Crye Precision JPC with ballistic plates in it and a Molle Kydex Holster securing my Full auto converted Glock 19. I also have my P320 in a leg holster at all times, as well as 3 M67 frag grenades on a grenadiers sling. My M4 equipped with a M203 is securely held by electrical tape to the rear interior cross bar.

What Iā€™ve been searching for is a muzzle down floor mount for my CZ Bren2 carbine.
