I always thought a thin, multispoke wheel would suit the A90 far better than the A80.

I think after some proper aftermarket tuning, these should be behind those wheels for some better bite when braking

A black A90 Supra with the following mods would be the ideal for me...
    - Top Secret wide body kit with extending trunk spoiler to give the car the proper proportions
    - VOLK TE37 Ultras 19"
    - Flat carbon roof to eliminate the factory one
    - Aragosta Coilover suspension kit F/R
    - ENDLESS 6-piston / 4-piston w/ CC-X pads F/R
    - TRUST Front mount intercooler kit
    - Boost-up ECU tuning
    - Downpipe / Titanium exhaust

Was it confirmed that it's going to be air/water intercooled? I thought only the exhaust manifold was water cooled...? I know this is off-topic but I've been thinking about the reason behind why they did this but it just doesn't seem logical to me. Shouldn't the exhaust gas be hot to increase air velocity going into the turbine? :what:

Yes. The intake manifold features an integrated air-to-water intercooler. Not my first choice. However, the relatively-high (yet stable) temperature of the intake-charge makes for easier OEM tuning.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that the exhaust manifold was water-cooled. Maybe it's because all 6 cylinders expend their exhaust through only 2 ports in the head. Not a fan of this design either. Anyway, the center section of the turbo is definitely water-cooled, but since there's no real external exhaust manifold, claiming that it too is water-cooled is nonsense.

6 to 2 Exhaust manifold "cooler". Looks to be built into the engine head meaning it cannot be removed, only bypassed. It's sole purpose seems to be saving the catalytic converter. :dunno:

The turbo, you can see the exhaust manifold in the cylinder head.

    :)
I've based the premise of my post on the parts drawings that were leaked on realoem.com. There is no proper external exhaust manifold on the A90's variant of the B58 engine.

Yes, the exhaust makes a tortuous path through the head (which is of course water-cooled), but that's not the same thing as a watercooled exhaust manifold. No matter what automotive journalists write.
