As time goes by, It will be interesting to see just how much modification Toyota is prepared to tolerate/support, plus how many people are prepared to do this anything a 5 warranty period, especially given the majority will be on finance or leased.
Tuning houses obviously aren't concerned as they have the money to adapt when it all goes wrong from a mod, but the average owner at home might struggle if Toyota says "VOID". I've seen that happen for a hard-wired dash cam, so I'm hope Toyota is far more accommodating.
Not sure where you are located, but in the USA there are laws against manufacturers voiding their warranties for the addition of after market parts. In order to void it, they need to prove that the item failed due to the aftermarket part.As time goes by, It will be interesting to see just how much modification Toyota is prepared to tolerate/support, plus how many people are prepared to do this anything a 5 warranty period, especially given the majority will be on finance or leased.

As the title states, what's some of the first (if only) modifications you'll do to your new Supra when you get it. Provided it lives up to the hype and you actually buy one.
I know I've stated I may avoid performance modifications in a previous post, but there is certainly some things I'll definitely do.
Personally I would either wrap the entire car in clear 3M or another colour that's gloss. My brother has his car done from a shop and it's fantastic. I guess I had to see it in person to be a believer. I've had shitty rock chips on the front bumper of all my sports cars and commuters- I won't be doing so again. I'll make sure it's done before I even drive the thing.
The second thing I'll do is a stereo. I've always been a music guy and the factory stereo options are always similarly priced to get a good professional to install a better speaker option. Nothing ridiculous. I just want clean and clear sound that factory options fail to provide.
That's about it for me. MAYBE wheels. I've always been an Enkei guy, but I think I'll spend the extra buck on something else.
What would you do? Protune? Coil overs? Let's hear it.
Here's what I'd like to do. There is a metal rod behind the seats. From what I heard on one of the reviews, this rod is not structural & only put there to keep the seats from going back any further. I'd like to remove to allow my dog easier access to the back. Any thoughts on this idea?
Thankyou - Lou
The Cusco Supra has this bar replaced with a blue racing harness bar (5th picture), so I imagine it’s not too difficult to take off by yourself.
First mods? Splitter bits front and back removal, full side splitter removal, fake door vent fix, open up the front, back, hood vents. Front pillar paint, drop the bitch, purchase new sleek, clean, non-flashy neck breaker timeless wheels. Give it chunky tyres, remove plastic engine cover and engine bay cleanup.
Nono, the bits sticking out and up on the end of the splitters both front and back, not the whole thing. Resale value will defo plummet, but I don't plan to ever sell it once bought lol.
Front splitter looks like its built right in to the bumper.
Are you getting it this year? Post pictures so I can decide if it's worth the sacrifice lolNono, the bits sticking out and up on the end of the splitters both front and back, not the whole thing. Resale value will defo plummet, but I don't plan to ever sell it once bought lol.
