Ive read the thread and still totally undecided.

In the uk the MST is £330, Injen is £400 and the Eventuri £1250.

Carbon fibre looks cool as fuck but the difference in cost pay for a remap or jb4.

I hadn’t seen the clear cover, wow, thanks.

These things can easily spiral, it would be rude not to fit the inlet pipe and charge pipe at the same time.

No problem ? yeah the clear cover looks awesome!

I was considering overlooking the turbo inlet although it came included with the MST V2 out of worry that I'd snap the crankcase vent hose as a number of others have done. Thankfully all went smooth and the turbo inlet is totally worth it for me personally.

I am personally avoiding the charge pipe until I do the turbo upgrade. There's nothing wrong with the upgrade per say, but I've been told by my tuner and other tuners that it's not really needed until a turbo upgrade. Reason being the design of the pipe is different to the infamous N55 engine which had a plastic charge pipe.

We've all done this. 1'' hose clamp fixes it fine.

B58 has a plastic charge pipe too, but it's fine until you're upping boost or you add meth or nitrous.

Best based on what? From a design standpoint the MST is incredibly mediocre, the fitment around the car panels is mediocre and an open bottom exposed to stuff coming up from the front wheel well isn’t great either.

I wonder if lining the metalwork with bedliner or dynamat/adhesive heatshield would be worthwhile

People buy products because it's not worth the hassle, the time, and it's a better quality product when it's made by professionals.

You can make the cover for $40 or skip through the hassle and buy a professional cover for $65

Just because a cover comes from a company that outsources to a factory doesn’t make it any better than home made. Especially if the same material is used.
sure they can make them in bulk and faster. But I can have the same finished outcome. Especially for a simple “product” such as this.
