I finally broke down and swapped out the stock tires. Fallen Azenis RT660 in 265/35/19 and 295/35/19, stock wheels, HKS Hipermax adjustable springs. I was running FC 12/15mm spacers on the stock tires, but that was too much on the rear with the 295s so I had to pull them off. I’m still running the 12mm in the front, the tires poke out just a bit, and with no spacers in the rear the tires tuck just a bit. I’ve ordered a set of FC 5mm spacers for the rear which I think will make it perfect. I may also swap the 12mm in the front to 5mm to pull them back in a tad, not sure yet.

No rubbing to speak of so far, everything feels good.

Took it out to the mountains and made some runs up and down highways 35, 9 and 84. Ran into a mild-mannered gentleman at Alice's Restaraunt who invited me out to follow him out for some 'spirited driving' since he was intimately familiar with the roads. Went out with a guy in a lightly modded G80 M3 and we both got immediately humbled by him in a stock S2000. Turns out that he was actually a local legend in the area and we were getting schooled on proper touge driving.

Had an absolute blast and really got to give the car a proper shakedown drive and start to explore the limits of the vehicle. Sadly I picked up 3 rock chips on the windshield and another 5 on the bumper (no PPF) but I like to see it as proper battle scars earned in the touge rather than commuting on the freeway. At this point, I'm just going to go with no PPF and deal with a bumper respray and full vehicle PPF when I have the budget.

Will definitely need to get the alignment checked as well as start researching on brake related changes like fluids or even stainless steel lines.

Got the car rinsed off and actually washed after yesterday's shenanigans in the mountains. There's more damage than I thought, 6 rock chips in the bumper that went through the paint and is exposing plastic, with a few more chipping paint. Windshield was absolutely peppered and worse than I expected, no actual chips but plenty of cratering.

Take this as a warning for those who have been putting off PPF, get it done before any real serious driving...

Sigh.

I luckily windshield PPF and frontal. I have done the Alice’s drive a few times and if you aren’t leading you definitely are getting rocks galore

That really sucks. Before I got my car I had a buddy got behind a truck and ended up with a really bad looking front, there were tiny little chips everywhere including the headlights.

first thing I did when I bought my Supra was drop it off to PPF…. I made sure headlights were included

Don't feel so bad it happens. It's not cheap to do a full front ppf anyway. I'm considering on doing ppf. The car already have 10k without it and I see a few rock chips in the front bumper and it's kinda funny the previous owner tried to hide one deep rock chip with a yellow sticker the one that u use for doin pin stripe lol the 1st time I did a car wash I noticed it and I was like what is this yellow sticker doin here peeled that off and it exposed the rock chip made me laugh.

Is this hard to do?
Not really it's actually my 1st time doing it myself. Watched alot of YouTube on how to, it's alot easier in my case since the rims are brand new didn't have to clean it just did a wipe down with a microfiber and started coating. You just need to know the product ur going to use like how long is the cure time b4 first wipedown. I just used one microfiber applicator and 2 microfiber.

Cool, mine are new in box as well so that should help. I assume the 2 microfiber towels was to buff the ceramic ?
